Backstage Rumor on Angel Garza Reminding Vince McMahon of a ‘Young Eddie Guerrero’
– It appears Vince McMahon might be seeing a lot of potential in the young, up-and-coming Superstar, Angel Garza. According to a report published by talkSPORT, Alex McCarthy says that he’s been told by WWE sources that Raw Superstar and former Cruiserweight champion Angel Garza has become a “favorite” for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. It’s gone so far as Vince McMahon even referring to Garza as “a young Eddie Guerrero.”
Angel Garza is 27 years old. He joined WWE last year and made his main roster debut last February. Another point in WWE and McMahon being high on Garza is his image being added to the Raw banner on WWE.com. Becky Lynch was taken off the banner after she started her hiatus to focus on her pregnancy, and Garza’s image was added instead.
While Garza might remind McMahon of Eddie Guerrero, Garza said in a past interview with Planeta Wrestling that the late WWE Hall of Famer had “zero influence” on his character or his wrestling career. He stated on the topic, “I haven’t been influenced by Eddie, but if I’ve been influenced by someone, it has been by my uncle [Humberto Garza].”
Garza was in action on last night’s Raw, losing a singles match to Kevin Owens.
