Backstage Update on Jeff Hardy’s Current WWE Contract

June 24, 2021 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

Fightful Select has an update on the WWE contract status for Jeff Hardy, who has only sporadically appeared on WWE programming in recent months. Last month, it was reported by PWInsider that Hardy signed a new contract in 2020 that was said to be in the two to three-year range.

According to Fightful, WWE has made alterations and changes on “several contracts” throughout 2021. Jeff Hardy’s contract was reportedly one such instance. The report noted that Hardy’s latest WWE contract was restructured, re-signed, or extended.

Additionally, it’s said that Hardy’s contract is expected to run until the end of 2022 or the start of 2023. Also, WWE can reportedly add injury time to his contract, which was previously done with Hardy before the last time he re-upped.

Earlier this month, Hardy picked up his first win on Raw since January after beating Cedric Alexander on the June 7 episode of the show. The following week, he worked back-to-back matches against John Morrison and Alexander again, losing to Morrison but managing to beat Alexander for the second straight week.

Hardy did not wrestle on Raw earlier this week, but he did appear in a backstage segment.
