– Bayley spoke with Newshub for a new interview promoting this weekend’s Fastlane PPV. Highlights are below:

On the Raw Women’s Championship match main eventing WrestleMania: “The thought about us women being in the main event of WrestleMania wasn’t really an individual thought. There was more the meaning behind it that it is something so special and it will mean a lot. As a roster, we have done so much to get to this point that it will be so meaningful for the fans.”

On trying to building a division that will last: “We are still trying to set up for the future. We worry about the future a lot and we want to make sure there is a good foundation for all the little girls that dream to one day be in the WWE. We want to make sure there is an amazing division for them to come into and we want this to be the most amazing place to work for young woman. I think we are doing a great so far. Becky Lynch is literally ‘The Man’ right now and she is the one superstar across both genders that everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to see Becky Lynch which is just awesome.”

On Ronda Rousey: “Working with Ronda was very different. It was what I expected – competitive and hard hitting. She is a different athlete – a complete, elite athlete and I’m really glad I had that much with her. She has done so much for the women’s division. She has brought a lot of new eyes and she has shown how though we are. She is not the best but she is working hard to be the best.”

On her match at Fastlane and a possible WrestleMania match: “There is a lot of pressure on us. I’m thinking more about WrestleMania than Fastlane which is not a good thing. I’m nervous – it’s gonna be a hard task and a big hill to climb but it’s just one more step that we are willing to take. We still have a lot more to accomplish. Sasha [Banks] and I are really trying to get this division up and running and get a few solid tag teams together and that’s right across the company – Raw, Smackdown and NXT. That for me is a really big deal for women in wrestling at the moment – it’s something new and something we can build from the ground up. We both really have that same drive and passion. We had similar thoughts on where we wanted women’s wrestling to go. As people, we really connect and we are truly best friends and that helps in our matches and in continuing to thrive for greatness.”
