During a recent edition of his podcast (via SEScoops), WWE Hall of Famer Booker T once again critiqued Raw Superstar Matt Riddle for not wrestling wrestling books. Riddle later responded to those comments yesterday (Oct. 27).

Booker T criticizing Riddle for wrestling barefoot is something that’s come up before. During his Hall of Fame podcast from last week, Booker T said on Riddle going barefoot in his matches, “How many World Heavyweight Champions were bare feet [while wrestling]? How many of them were greater than Superfly Jimmy Snuka?” He continued, “That’s not the look of a world heavyweight champion.”

Booker T added, “I’m just saying if you’re trying to get to the World Heavyweight Championship or Universal championship, there has always been a certain look that you must have. When I’m talking Matt Riddle, I’m thinking from a promoter’s perspective. That’s all I’m thinking about.”

It appears Riddle got wind of those comments, as he shared a screenshot of his match with Sheamus from Raw and mentioned Booker T in the tweet. Sheamus won the match in order to get a spot on Team Raw at Survivor Series. Riddle tweeted, “My face whenever Booker T speaks, also my face when I’m not on the raw survivor series team, congratulations to Sheamus.” You can view his post below:
