Booker T Says TNA Had the Money to Succeed: ‘I Got Paid $10,000 For a Commercial They Never Used’
– Booker T touched on the rise of All Elite Wrestling and comparisons with TNA during his latest Heated Conversations podcast. While discussing the conversations that took place at Ric Flair’s birthday party, the WWE Hall of Famer said that he and Chris Jericho had a difference of opinion on why TNA didn’t work. Jericho thought it was a money problem, while Booker considered it more of an executive issue.
“We talked about how TNA had so much momentum back in the day,” Booker said (per Fightful). “We actually had…I wouldn’t call it a conflict. But he thought, TNA, the reason they didn’t stick around is because they didn’t have the money to advertise the way they have now with AEW. I think TNA did have the resources, I just think they had the wrong people in place to delegate those duties. I got paid $10,000 for a commercial they never used. They had the money.”
