Hi, hello and welcome to the column that nobody in the world of wrestling wants to be in, Botched! To be honest, it wasn’t exactly the most interesting week in the world. Raw was fine, SmackDown was kinda there and there wasn’t much else going on other than Twitter/Instagram drama. We don’t cover Twitter/Instagram drama here, but we do cover botches. Here’s five!

1. Paige’s Sunset flip powerbomb: The leader of Absolution won her first match back on Raw over Sasha Banks, but it wasn’t exactly a smooth ride. Especially for Sasha.

Honestly, I’m surprised more people aren’t murdered on this move. There’s a reason somebody called it the MURDERDEATHKILL power bomb many years ago. CRZ or Scott Keith, I forget which. Am I allowed to mention those people? Guess we’ll find out together.

2. Paige has to change her shorts: So so so many people on the Twitter machine noticed that Paige changed her shorts in the time between her match & her appearance with Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville after Asuka vs. Alicia Fox.

Apparently she had some difficulties with the shorts she was wearing during her match with Sasha Banks. I watched the clips pretty closely & didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, but if you want to shoot me an e-mail or a tweet @stevecook84 with visual evidence it would be greatly appreciated.

3. Dean eludes Cesaro’s grasp: To be fair to Cesaro, catching a somewhat awkward dude like Dean Ambrose coming off the top rope & transitioning right into a giant swing sounds better on paper than it looks in execution.

Also of note during this match was Michael Cole dropping the word “bump” like he’s Vince Russo or something. Bro.

4. Randy Orton & Announce Tables = Bad Times: It seems like Randy Orton’s Intermittent Explosive Disorder kicks in any time he’s around an announce table. One of the Singh Brothers nearly died a couple of times, and Sami Zayn got similar treatment on Tuesday night.

Orton completely neglected the traditional clearing of the announce table and dropped Sami backfirst on one of the monitors. I don’t think this was meant as a punishment like some dirtsheet writers have speculated, but it is one of those things that make you go “hmmmm”.

5. More 205 Live Microphone Issues : I don’t know what it is about Enzo Amore’s microphone that keeps giving everybody fits on 205 Live. This week, Drew Gulak fell victim to it. It wasn’t really noticable to those of us watching on WWE Network because the camera mics picked him up just fine. The live crowd had no idea what in the hell he was talking about for most of his opening promo though.

I wish YouTube had a good clip of this promo because it was pretty good. Drew Gulak’s doing some good work on 205 Live. It’s just a shame the live crowd couldn’t hear it.

Thanks for reading! If you see (or hear) anything wrong in the world of wrestling, let me know via Twitter or e-mail at [email protected]. Have a good weekend!
