Hi, hello & welcome to Botched! It was Royal Rumble Week, and as you can imagine with so many people in & out of the ring doing things, there was plenty of material for this column. Here’s the five that were most convenient to include!

1. Watch out for that Roode!

The high point of most WWE Bobby Roode matches has been his glorious entrance. It didn’t go so gloriously for a cameraman at the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show.

It went gloriously for the rest of us though!

2. Kalisto flies over everybody

The stars of 205 Live got a chance to shine on the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show in a fatal-fourway for the Cruiserweight Championship. As usual with the cruiserweights, they were doing a lot of things and not all of them connected…

36 seconds into the video is when Kalisto sails over Itami & Tozawa, not touching either one. Bless their hearts, they still sold it though.

3. Johnny Takes E Over…Eventually

NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano got to be one of the surprise entrants in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. Things went ok for him, but I feel like some people still aren’t quite buying what he’s selling. Daniel was gracious enough to send this clip…

I’m guessing this isn’t how it happened, but doesn’t it look like Big E paused & took a second to think if he should go down for the DDT or not? “Hmm, should I be taking moves from this kid?” Probably not, E was probably just adjusting to spare his head some pain, but I like to think that’s how that happened.

4. Just A Bit Outside on the Mick Kick

Daniel also sent in this clip of Mandy Rose eating a Mick Kick on the ring apron!

Well, not so much. Gotta give Mickie credit for noticing and knocking her down with a forearm anyway.

5. Come on, Renee!

I don’t want to be too harsh towards Renee Young, who’s had an interesting week to say the least. But something happened on Raw that I have to call attention to. Jeff Jarrett & Road Dogg came out to sing “With My Baby Tonight” because apparently it’s 1995 again. 1995 was a good year for me, so I’m not complaining…

At the 2:55 mark, Road Dogg heads over to the announce table so he can sing along with Renee. The only problem: Renee doesn’t know the words! Say what? Corey Graves was as shocked as I was. This is like the time Lois Griffin didn’t know the words to “I Wanna Rock N Roll All Night” even after attending countless KISS concerts with Peter! Renee’s wrestling geek cred certainly took a hit with this one.
