Hi, hello & welcome to the column that nobody in the world of professional wrestling wants to be in: Botched! WWE took their talents overseas to the United Kingdom this week, which resulted in some good times & some good material for this column. Apparently there was a really good one on Raw that I missed. If anybody else heard Michael Cole talking to the production talk during the commercial, let the people know down in the comment section. It was supposedly a big thing that nobody got video of.

I dunno, I just work here.

1. Side Effect Breaker: I’ve watched Matt Hardy do the Side Effect approximately 5,984 times. I’ve never seen it go the way it did on Monday night before.

Dash Wilder took it like it was a Back Effect instead of a Side Effect. It’s an interesting interpretation of the move.

2. Michael Cole Doesn’t Know Heights: Wrestling announcers lie about height & weight all the time. Andre the Giant wasn’t 7’4. Big Cass isn’t a height of seven feet that can’t be taught. It’s really no big deal…unless you do it at a time where it can easily be proven wrong, like when Michael Cole gave us the tale of the tape on Braun Strowman & Drew McIntyre.

Cole had a pretty rough week on Raw, as he decided to go after Matt Hardy’s youngest son for reasons best kept between him & his therapist. Maybe the lack of sleep & all the overseas travel lately is getting to him.

3. Drew Takes Out Braun’s Trophy: It was bound to happen. The more often the Greatest Royal Rumble trophy appeared on television, the more likely it was that somebody would smash it. You don’t need to have watched this stuff for twenty-eight years to see that coming. McIntyre got run over by Strowman on the outside, & he took a roll right into…well…

How bout that Saudi craftsmanship, huh? Very impressive.

4. Kalisto vs. Ropes : Kalisto likes doing cool moves on the ropes. There’s one where he gets whipped into the ropes, but he catches himself on them & keeps from going back towards his opponent. He had a little difficulty with it on this week’s 205 Live.

At the 1:40 mark you can see him try to catch himself on the ropes, but he ends up writhing in pain before getting himself out of the predicament. Kalisto’s back was not a fan of the move this week.

5. Flash Morgan Webster Has Bad Luck in WWE: WWE’s trip to the United Kingdom this week gave British talent a chance to be seen by the world’s largest wrestling company. Flash Morgan Webster, a Welsh independent wrestler, was given a chance to compete on 205 Live. He’s been on their radar for quite some time now, appearing in a Cruiserweight Classic Qualifying Match back in 2016. That match with Zack Sabre Jr. didn’t go too well for Webster, as he managed to injure both his shoulder & ankle.

The six-man tag team match on 205 Live this week didn’t go that poorly, but he did get some unexpected color.

I’m not really sure how it happened. It seemed to be somewhere around 8:42 in the video where Drew Gulak catches him with a kick. Whatever happened, he got knocked goofy for a minute there & needed time to recover.
