Hi, hello & welcome to Botched! It’s been another crazy week in the world of pro wrestling. Here’s what went wrong!

1. Table no-sells Roman Reigns : Can you imagine what would happen if a WWE Superstar had the temerity to no-sell The Big Dog? They wouldn’t survive the evening with their job intact. Neither did this table.

I believe The Shield ended up breaking its legs in response. Some old school wrestling justice right there.

2. Lana is allegedly in a video game : It’s a big week for Lana fans, as the Ravishing Russian will be available as a playable character for the first time in WWE 2K19. She noticed something strange about her character though…it doesn’t really look like her wrestling persona.

Apparently what they did is go off of a parody poster that WWE did as part of a photo shoot.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense to go off of something she wore during an actual match? One would think.

3. Jarrett has no Stroke in Mexico: Jeff Jarrett was involved in a tag team match against Dr. Wagner Jr. this week in Mexico. A couple of strange things happened. For one thing, Wagner was wearing a LA Park-style skeleton outfit, which I’m guessing is supposed to be some type of mind games he’s playing. For another thing, Jarrett tried to give Wagner the Stroke, and apparently Wagner has never seen the move in his life.

Yeah, most of us aren’t really fans of the move. But I’m not sure he could have picked a more awkward way to take that.

4. The Bar didn’t break any records: Sometimes announcers talk a lot and say things in order to put people over, whether it’s accurate or not. Reader Mike sent in this one from SmackDown Live involving one Corey Graves.

The Bar broke the New Day’s title reign record?? That doesn’t sound right at all.

“…Sheamus and Cesaro, they were bonded by a mutual respect. These two used to detest one another, but it took time. They didn’t get hot overnight, it took months, and months and months, and eventually, they broke the New Day’s record holding title reign.”

I’m pretty sure that’s a botch right there by Mr. Perfect, Corey Graves. He probably meant they ENDED the New Day’s record holding title reign, not broke it.

HA!

Corey kind of opens himself up to criticism by making light of everybody else’s mistakes. People really, really like it when he’s wrong.

5. Spray tan stains are the new blood stains : I know that Mike Bomb has always been a big fan of Maryse’s wrestling matches. He has a contribution to the column from her match with Brie Bella on SmackDown Live.

Sure enough, in Picture 1 you can see Maryse taking a beating from Brie, and in Picture 2 you can see what was left on the mat afterwards.

You know, Maryse doesn’t have the time on her hands to lay in the sun all day. I’m willing to cut her some slack on this one. But I’ve always been one to cut her whatever she needs.
