Hi, hello & welcome to Botched! It’s been a wild & wacky week in the world of professional wrestling. It’s been a little heavy too, so I’m here to send you into the weekend with a chuckle or two…

1. Bobby’s not sure what to do

What can you say about a heel group that’s led by Baron Corbin? They obviously can’t be the sharpest tools in the shed. Bobby Lashley put that on full display Monday night…

Drew McIntyre was showing Bobby what they were going to do to Kurt Angle, ram him into the steps. Then Bobby went to help carry the steps, then went back & forth with both men trying to direct traffic before they figured out how to do the spot. Kurt must have been hurt pretty bad to not manage his way out of that predicament.

2. Ronda, hold the title up!

I liked the ending of Raw. Ronda Rousey finally showed her true self and beat the crap out of Becky Lynch. I like The Man as much as anybody else, but it was pretty glorious. The only black mark on the segment?

Bruce Prichard really wanted Ronda to hold that title up, didn’t he?

3. Sabu remembers how much he’s getting paid

I heard that Sabu was going to be teaming with Rob Van Dam to take on the Lucha Brothers at an upcoming Impact Wrestling show and was amazed. Sabu still wrestles? Apparently so, as this footage from The Crash down in Mexico shows…

Old Man Sabu’s no dummy. By this point he knows when he’s going to slip. A splash off the apron makes more sense at his age anyway.

4. Mixing up black guys: a tradition unlike any other

It’s bad enough when you mix up two human beings. When you mix up two people in a minority, people are going to ask uncomfortable questions.

DO THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME TO YOU, IMPACT WRESTLING?

5. Enzo still botchin’

King Kong Bundy passed away this week at the age of 61. The Great Bundy is most remembered as a staple of early WrestleMania events. He beat SD Jones in nine seconds at WM I. Hulk Hogan defeated Bundy in the main event at WM 2. Then Bundy bodyslammed & elbowdropped a midget at WM III. He was a memorable character to most children of the 80s, including the artist formerly known as Enzo Amore…

Everybody jumped on Enzo for mixing Bundy up with George “The Animal” Steele. So much so that he pretty much got a free pass for hashtagging an RIP to King Kong Buddy. I’m sure some erstwhile promoter put that name on a wrestler and booked him against Bruno Sandmartino back in the day.

Thanks for reading! If you see (or hear) anything wrong in the world of wrestling, let me know via Twitter or e-mail at [email protected]. Have a nice weekend!
