Botched!: Sexy Star’s Armbar, Cena Punks Reigns, More

Hi, hello & welcome to the column that nobody in pro wrestling wants to be in, Botched! Lots of interesting stuff going on this week as always, and a couple of these were actually big stories. Let’s get right to it.

1. Sexy Star’s Armbar

TripleMania XXV had a number of notable happenings, and being a lucha libre show not everything was 100% perfect, but the one everybody was talking about afterwards involved Sexy Star & Rosemary. The Reina de Reinas match broke down pretty early on when Sexy & Lady Shani started shooting on each other. Sexy got frustrated and sat out most of the match. Of course she came back in order to win, and she took out her frustrations on Rosemary by putting her in a legit armbar and not breaking it.

Unprofessional. That’s what Sexy Star is. Maybe one of these days she’ll learn the lessons of Dr. Wagner Jr. & do business in a way that makes sense for the business.

2. Roman Forgets A Line

Roman Reigns vs. John Cena. WrestleMania? Nah, No Mercy. Which is fine because let’s be honest, WrestleMania hardly deserves the big matches these days. Besides, No Mercy is at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and if you’re going to stand out in LA on a Sunday in September with two fair to middling local NFL teams doing their thing, you gotta deliver the goods. So I’m cool with it.

Roman Reigns might not be, since John Cena don’t give a F and he’s going to make Reigns earn everything in this feud. If Reigns makes the slightest miscue, like he did at 7:30 in this video, he’s gonna pay.

I mean, come on man. Most of us reading this could rattle off ten reasons why people hate John Cena off the top of our head. You gotta be quicker than that, Big Dog.

3. Mickie’s Neckbreaker

Emma created the Divas Revolution. Mickie James likes to think she accomplished something even before the Divas Revolution, so there’s an issue there. There was also an issue forty seconds into this video when Mickie tried to execute a neckbreaker on Emma.

Looks like a simple miscommunication, which can happen when you’re trying to execute a move when you’re back to back.

4. Tamina Tries To Throw A Girl Out Of The Ring

It’s probably a good thing the local competitor didn’t last too long in the ring with Tamina. At 1:35 you’ll see what happened once Tamina was done with her.

Judging from the brief match and the bump in the corner early on, the unnamed lady wasn’t exactly a polished ring general. Add in the fact she’s in there with Tamina, who’s a little stiff anyway, and this was a recipe for disaster.

5. Randy Orton Tries To DDT Jinder Mahal

You would think by this point these two would have at least a little bit of chemistry.
