Brad Maddox Confirms Reason For WWE Release

According to the Busted Open Radio Twitter account, Brad Maddox has confirmed the reason for his WWE release. Maddox spoke with the radio show and confirmed that his release was due to using the term “pricks” in a pre-dark match promo during last week’s Main Event tapings, which upset Vince McMahon.

The show will be available soon on Busted Open’s website. Maddox said the release surprised him and added that Vince McMahon was supporting the idea of Maddox’s tag team with Rose, all the way up to the day of the release.

He said in the interview that “I have badly missed wrestling for three years now…I didn’t feel like one of the boys, because I’m not contributing” and that “There is a stigma about Vince McMahon. His door is a lot scarier than he is.” He said that McMahon likes people coming to him with creative ideas and said of his next wrestling match, “I’m going to wait til the hype is so severe, that I have to come out like Sting/Hogan.”
