Bret Hart Files Lawsuit Against Doctor Over Botched Surgery
December 5, 2017 | Posted by
The Calgary Sun reports that Bret Hart has filed a $1 million lawsuit against Dr. Justin Yeung, a plastic surgeon who performed wrist surgery on Hart in 2015. Hart claims that the surgery has left him unable to use his right index finger and thumb. Because of this, Hart is unable to dress him or do some of his recreational activities such as drawing.
Hart alleges in the lawsuit that Yeung told him he could fix Hart’s wrist injury via partial fusion of the wrist bones but that Yeung left “a tourniquet on Mr. Hart’s right arm on too long, such that the circulation of the nerves and tendons to his right thumb and index finger were damaged by a prolonged insufficient supply of oxygen.”
