Bruce Prichard Addresses Brian Kendrick Getting His Release in 2004, Details How Vince McMahon Granted Release Requests in the Past
– During the latest edition of his Something to Wrestle podcast, Bruce Prichard discussed Brian Kendrick receiving the release from WWE that Kendrick requested in 2004. He also addressed how Vince McMahon would grant those requests.
Speaking on the topic (via RingsideNews), Prichard stated: “Sometimes it’s just the relationship with Vince and how you present yourself and how you deal with things all along the road. If you were always there doing your job and never any problem anything like that and you are nice about asking then he’ll do it. Sometimes if he thinks that he has something for you that he feels is going to be big or he feels is going to be right for you he’ll ask you to hang on and let’s try something else.”
He added on Vince McMahon, “The best and as crazy as it is sometimes it depends on the mood and it depends on when you ask and who you ask.”
The statement comes in light of reports that a number of Superstars have requested releases from their WWE contracts. The WWE tag team The Revival, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, reportedly requested their release from WWE last week. Maria and Mike Kanellis are also rumored to have requested their releases, but Maria Kanellis later denied those rumors.
