In a recent appearance with the Bleacher Report, Charlotte Flair talked about her upcoming bout with Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania39 and how it could serve as the conclusion to their clashes that began in 2021. She referenced the feud the two were engaged in that was cut short when Flair lost the Raw Women’s Championship title to Nikki A.S.H. after the MITB winner cashed in her chance just after the event. In Flair’s mind, things have come full circle and the upcoming battle for the SmackDown Women’s Championship will serve to round out the story that began two years ago. You can find a highlight from Flair and watch the full interview below.

On how this upcoming match will conclude the dangling plot thread from their past arc: “I think there would have been another match after our Money in the Bank [match] had Nikki A.S.H. not cashed in on me. I think this is now the ending to that. I think Money in the Bank would’ve probably led to another, but then you have this crazy cash-in out of nowhere and we just never crossed paths again. … In hindsight, I had no control of that. I’m saying it now: I don’t have control. I’m so flattered that people think I had that much power. I’m very flattered, but trust me, I don’t.”
