Various News: Chris Jericho Responds to Angry WCW Announcer Over Kenny Omega Match, Top WWE Instagram Photos for The Week Include The Rock With Stan Lee and Lana, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar Match Video From Survivor Series 2016
– It seems one person isn’t happy with the news that Chris Jericho will face Kenny Omega at the upcoming NJPW WrestleKingdom 12 event. That person is former CNN analyst and WCW announcer Christopher Cruise. Cruise called the worked angle Jericho and Omega had with their back-and-forth exchanges over Twitter an “insult” to the fans. This prompted some responses from WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross.
Cruise later wrote, “But why not just be straightforward? This isn’t the 80s or 90s. Fan sophistication is much higher now. Stop the workin.” This ultimately gained the attention of Chris Jericho, who wrote to Cruise, “Well We fooled your stupid ass….” You can check out the Twitter exchanges with Christopher Cruise, Ross, and Jericho below.
Is everything a work nowadays?

Seems that way, Chris.
Many politicians are excellent ‘workers.’— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) November 5, 2017
Yes, but I guess I was hoping for better from @IAmJericho. Instead, same old crap.

Hmm…I’m missing your point re: @IAmJericho
I love this creative as the fans get a payoff too https://t.co/49tAhhxUJN— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) November 5, 2017

Good for everyone, yes, but why not just be straight up about it? Why try to hide it in a worked online shoot? Its insulting to fans.

Don’t agree with your take but I respect it. https://t.co/spHKVmFRCO

Fact Jericho appeared on their show was shock enough. He continues to reinvent & stay relevant. Well done, @IAmJericho cc: @ChrispyCruiser

I agree. But why not just be straightforward? This isn't the 80s or 90s. Fan sophistication is much higher now. Stop the workin.
