Chris Jericho Thinks Pro Wrestling Could Be An Olympic Sport

In an interview with The Blocks Podcast (via Fightful), Chris Jericho gave his thoughts on why he thinks pro wrestling could be a sport at the Olympics. Amateur wrestling is often featured at the Games, but never pro wrestling, which isn’t an actual competitive sport.
Jericho said: “I’ve started to really think about how pro wrestling could easily be an Olympic sport. It’s an athletic display between two people. Much like figure skating or synchronized swimming, or anything else that is judged on points. Think about it. I’m from Canada. Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, best wrestler in the world from Canada. We put together our routine. You have Will Ospreay and Michael Oku from England, they put together their routine. Then you have Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson from the United States, they put together their routine. Then the judges would say, ‘Okay, this is the best.’ It doesn’t matter who wins or loses (the match).“
