Chris Nowinski Slams NFL’s Concussion Protocol for Allowing Texans Player to Return to Game After Concussion Signs
– Former WWE Superstar Christopher Nowinski has commented on his Twitter account on his problems with the NFL concussion protocol. He criticized that the NFL concussion protocol allowed Houston Texans player, Tom Savage, to get back into a recent game only two plays after showing signs of a concussion.
His tweet is accompanied by a video clip showing Savage’s head hitting the ground and then appearing to suffer from what appears to be a seizure after the referee checks him. Nowinski is the co-founder and executive director of the Concussion Legacy Foundation. You can read Nowinski’s tweet and comments on the situation involving Tom Savage below.
Disgusted that the @HoustonTexans allowed Tom Savage to return to the game after 2 plays after showing these horrifying #concussion signs (is that a seizure?) after a head impact. I would not let my worst enemy go through the 2017 #NFL sideline concussion protocol… https://t.co/PeJr5ISAIJ
