Christian Cage Explains Turning On Jungle Boy During AEW Dynamite
Christian Cage explained his reasons for turning on Jungle Boy on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Wednesday’s episode saw Cage come out and speak with Tony Schiavone about his attack of his former ally after Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships to the Young Bucks.
Cage noted that he turned on Jungle Boy in part because of losing out on a bonus and momentum toward the AEW World Championship when he was eliminated by Jungle Boy from the Casino Battle Royal at AEW Double or Nothing 2021, and how the crowd cheered when Jungle Boy eliminated him. He also said that he’s not there to help out AEW and the younger generation and just wants a lot of money and to be treated like the star he deserves to be.
He ran down Jungle Boy for not having a killer instinct and blamed their Tag Team Championship loss on that. Cage also took shots at Jungle Boy’s late father Luke Perry, saying that Jungle Boy’s mother may be hot on him and may want Cage to be his new father.
Luchasaurus then came down to the ring and manhandled Cage, who said, “Remember what happened to Marko?,” referencing Marko Stunt. He said Luchasaurus is like a son to him and they hugged, though Luchasaurus still seemed uncertain, and they left the ring together.
