The Peep Show on the Kickoff Show

Christian makes his way to the ring first and thanks his Peeps in Nashville. He could drink this up all night long, but this night isn’t really about him. This night is about champions, but the match that piqued his interest the most isn’t even a title match. It’s the match between Randy Orton and Christian’s guest at this time… Chris Jericho! Jericho loves how loud the WWE Universe is in Nashville tonight. He’s excited to be on the Peep Show, but he’s even more excited to have Captain Charisma back in WWE. The Peeps and the Jerichoholics are excited to see Christian and Jericho back together again. Jericho and Christian start reminiscing about their time as a tag team, but they seem to remember their time together a bit differently. They disagree about who came up with the name of the team and who was the leader of the team. Christian is clearly going a little heelish here. Christian rolls the footage of Orton attacking Jericho. Christian thinks that Orton’s problem with Jericho is that Jericho is everything that Orton is not. That’s enough for Orton to show up on the big screen. Orton compares Jericho and Christian to Brad and Angelina, but what really matters is that Orton has beaten Christian so bad throughout his entire career that he’ll probably never compete again. And after Orton is done with Jericho tonight, the only show Jericho will appear on will be Total Divas. Jericho says that Orton can tell all the jokes he wants, but Orton better remember that tonight he’s facing the first Undisputed Champion in WWE history. And when Jericho is done with Orton, Orton will never… EVER… be the same.

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins makes his way down to the ring despite the fact that his match with Roman Reigns has been cancelled. Isn’t it amazing how life works sometimes? Just crazy. One minute you’re on top of the world, and the next… you’re Roman Reigns. Rollins’ former partner and brother in the Shield was scheduled to face Rollins tonight, but Reigns was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery yesterday. But you know what? Emergency surgery is no excuse for not showing up tonight. But in the interest of justice (nice callback to the Shield’s motto), Rollins is going to give Reigns ten seconds to get down to the ring for the match. “We want Ambrose! We want Ambrose! We want Ambrose!” The referee rings the bell and begins the ten count. The referee gets to ten and awards the match to Rollins via forfeit. Rollins says that it’s not official until the referee raises his hand, so that’s what the referee does. Rollins knows that the fans are disappointed, and so is he. He’s disappointed in Roman Reigns. But he’ll find a way to make this right, because he’s an opportunist. The Authority is all about providing opportunity, so right now he’s going to issue an open challenge to anybody in the locker room who wants to come out and have a match with him right now. Anybody? Anybody? A taxi pulls into the parking area… AND DEAN AMBROSE IS HERE! Ambrose charges to the ring and tackles Rollins. Ambrose whips Rollins out of the ring and tosses him into the crowd. Ambrose beats Rollins up a flight of stairs and then knocks him back down. Rollins goes for a powerbomb, but Ambrose counters into a back body drop. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon call out security to break up the brawl. Ambrose dives off the stage and takes out security and the road agents. Ambrose continues to chase Rollins through the crowd and goes to work with mounted punches. Ambrose clotheslines Rollins over the barrier back into the ringside area. Ambrose grabs a chair and heads for Ambrose, but Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury tackle him. Security binds Ambrose’s hands behind his back with a cable tie.
