CM Punk played a celebrity game of WWE 2K26, taking on none other than Steve Carell at Netflix’s Night Of Too Many Stars last night. As noted, Punk was part of the lineup for the John Stewart-hosted charity event to support U.S.-based autism programs, services, and schools.

A video of Punk’s appearance was posted to Twitter, which you can see below. Before the match-up, Punk did some trash talking and said:

“In my business, we have had celebrities try to come in and prove that they are toucher than professional wrestlers. Historically, we have had some giants. Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson. Liberace. The only thing I can say here tonight is, I have come here to chew bubblegum and recoup the millions of dollars that you promised Scott’s Tots. That’s right, that’s what this is about. And if these people want to see it, I’m gonna lift you on my shoulders and press you above my head, and break your goddamn spine!”

Carell replied, “Listen here, man. I’m gonna bring the heat, and I’m gonna bring the hurt. And you’re gonna be hurting from my heat, and I am not gonna stop, even after you ask me too.”

The two then played a match in the game, with Punk playing himself while Carrell played a CAW version of himself. Punk was in control and Carrell tried to escape to the backstage area, which became mirrored in real life. Carell ran backstage, Punk grabbed him (or rather, a ragdoll Carrell and airplane spun him, then gorilla pressed him and tossed him across the stage.

The two eventually shook hands.
