Corey Graves Gets Backlash For Comment Perceived as Insulting People on Food Stamps
– Corey Graves is dealing with a backlash on Twitter after he ripped a fan and was perceived as insulting people on food stamps. Graves fired back at the fan who was criticizing his style on commentary and replied, “Well, ‘Blunt Boss,’ clearly you’re setting the world on fire. Maybe you could take over? But that would probably mean returning your food stamp card and actually having to hold down a job.”
As Ringside News notes, that drew a host of critics out of the woodwork who slamme dhim for “punching down” at poor people. Graves commented on the criticism, saying he’s “not sorry for anything” and was once on assistance himself:

I’m not sorry for anything.
I once had an ACCESS card.
I had public assistance.
But never ONCE, did I blame anybody for my problems or shortcomings but myself.
And I did better.
So before you continue your “triggered Twitter campaign” do your ****ing homework.

Punching down on the poor and vulnerable isn't a good look.

Probably not a good thing to say. As someone’s that’s struggled to make ends meet its very tough sometimes. Probably not a good idea to take a stab at the poor.

Hey there is NOTHING wrong with having to have food stamps. My family has had to rely on food stamps and I've always held down a damn job. Having food stamps doesn't mean you don't work. I love you and Rene both I think you guys are great… but seriously Corey…

Why do wrestling personalities like to stereotype fans as having deadend jobs or being on welfare whenever they get criticized? 🤔. Maybe I’m just getting worked? 🤷🏻♂️

And a few years from now, this tweet will cost you a job, involve you in a scathing social media nightmare, potential law suit and initiate the #FoodStampsToo movement😂😂😂
