Chris Jericho vs. John Cena: This was Cena’s return from a neck injury. They lock up and Jericho grabs a side headlock and grounds Cena right away. They get to the feet and Jericho hits a shoulder block, and Cena powders, grabbing at the previously injured neck. Cena rushes back in, tackling Jericho and working him over, hitting a suplex and covering for 2. Jericho escapes the STF, and Cena laughs at him. Jericho attacks with rights, stomping away at the neck and taking control back. Cena cuts Jericho off with a clothesline, hits a slam and elbow drop, covering for 2. Jericho slams Cena to the corner, but Cena hits a neck breaker and heads up top. Jericho moves so he drops down and Jericho attacks, hits a double arm DDT, covering for 2. They spill to the floor with Jericho controlling and the ref checking on Cena. Jericho hopes for a countout, but Cena makes it back in only for Jericho to immediately attack. Jericho tosses Cena right back to the floor, follows and lays the boots to him. Jericho then slams him to the steps. Back in and Jericho covers for 2. Jericho works a neck crank, grounding Cena. Cena battles back to his feet, escapes and follows with rights. Cena misses a charge, and Jericho covers for 2. He then chokes out Cena in the ropes, and works a full nelson. Cena escapes, but Jericho goes back to the hold and starts to take Cena to the mat. Cena again powers up and powers out. Rights follow, slams Jericho to the buckles. The shoulder blocks follow, but Jericho hits the bulldog. The lionsault misses, proto bomb by Cena and five-knuckle shuffle is countered and Jericho locks in the old fashioned liontamer with the knee on the neck of Cena. Cena powers out and escapes but Jericho hits a clothesline to cut him off. Jericho locks in the walls, Cena fights and makes the ropes. Cena then hits the FU and both men are down. Cena finally covers after a long delay, but Jericho kicks out at 2. They collide in the corner and then go to the apron. They now work up top, trading strikes and Jericho falls to the mat. Cena on top and hits the leg drop off the top. Jericho counters the FU, hits the code breaker and covers for 2. Jericho is upset it wasn’t 3. Jericho sets, hits a clothesline and challenges Cena to get back up. Jericho hits another clothesline, but Cena now locks in the STF. Jericho struggles and escapes. The small package gets 2. Cena powers up and hits the FU to win the title. John Cena defeated Chris Jericho @ 21:21 via pin [**½] The match wasn’t bad, but I feel that it went too long only for it to break down into the super Cena comeback formula. Jericho’s viciousness, psychology and layout was sound, but it felt mostly sluggish/lethargic; it had no sizzle to it and lacked any real drama. As a main event match, I found it disappointing.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose: They work a slow beginning, with Owens keeping Ambrose contained with a side headlock. Ambrose escapes, picks up the pace and starts going for pin attempts. Ambrose continues to keep things lively, working strikes and sending Owens to the floor. The plancha follows and back in Ambrose hits a corner clothesline and bulldog, covering for 2. Ambrose up top and gets crotched, Owens follows with strikes and the cannonball connects for 2. Owens follows with strikes and goes back to the chinlock, keeping Ambrose grounded. Ambrose battles to his feet, hits a head butt and Owens cuts him off with a TKO, covering for 2. Owens follows with a running senton, covering for 2. He maintains control, choking out Ambrose in the ropes. Owens lays in more rights, taking Ambrose down and covering for 2 again. Owens works chinlock city, but Ambrose keeps fighting back and counters the sleeper with the belly to back suplex. Owens misses a running senton, and they then collide for a double down. Owens counters out of dirty deeds, they trade center ring and Ambrose fires up but gets stunned off the ropes. Owens hits a gut buster and then misses the moonsault. Ambrose up top and the elbow drop press connects for 2. Ambrose sets Owens up top, follows and they battle for position. Owens head butts him to the mat, but Ambrose returns and Owens hits the twisting fisherman’s buster, which gets a good near fall. Owens yells at Ambrose to stay down and looks for the pop up powerbomb but Ambrose counters with the jawbreaker lariat. Owens rolls to the floor, and Ambrose hits a suicide dive. He tries another, but Owens catches him and slams him onto the announce table. Back in and Ambrose avoids the pop up powerbomb, but eats a superkick and another. Ambrose counters the pop up with a RANA, hits dirty deeds and Ambrose wins. Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens @ 11:30 via pin [***½] This was a very good match, with quality execution and the fact that they had the crowd actually caring from the opening bell. These two largely worked well together and had quality and fun matches.

Team Smackdown Live Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, and Natalya vs. Team Raw Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox & Sasha Banks : We got the entrances, and thorn discovered that Nikki Bella had been attacked Backstage. Natalya replaced Nikki. After Fox and Carmella started things off, the horsewomen teased various pairings and then we got the big brawl. Lynch and Banks worked back and forth, Charlotte tagged herself in, showing that she and Banks are still looking to one up each other. Jax tagged in, ran wild and was destroying team SD with ease. Natalya got the fire up spot for her team, but Ultimately failed to do anything of note. Carmella and Fox were eliminated first, Naomi got some run on Team Raw, including a high cross to the floor onto Jax. Jax then posted her and slammed her to the floor, and she was counted out. SD took the heat on Banks, but she made her own comeback on Bliss and Natalya. Merteora to the floor onto Natalya followed, but Natalya then rolled her up for the win. Natalya and Charlotte traded chops, and then Natalya hit a release German. Natalya cut off the moonsault with a Liger bomb as Jax made the save. Sharpshooter by Natalya, but Charlotte made the ropes and eliminated Natalya with a running boot. Lynch and Bliss had to work together, they argued and then tried and failed to attack Jax. Lynch hit a missile dropkick as Jax tried to slam Bliss, and then submitted Jax (not a huge fan of that ). Jax then beat down Lynch as Charlotte hit the boot to eliminate Bliss. Lynch Was left with Charlotte and Bayley, she tried to fire up and ran wild on Charlotte. She hit the Alabama jam for a near fall as Bayley made the save. Lynch and Bayley went back and forth, they worked well together, and Bayley to Belly finally put Lynch away, Charlotte then beat down Bayley, setting up their title feud. Team Raw defeated Team Smackdown @ 17:30 via pin [***] That was a good match with a good pace and moving parts throughout, a few miscommunication spots, but nothing bad.

– End scene.
