Fantasma vs. Homicide: They lock up and Fantasma looks to ground things. They ten trade shoulder tackles, Fantasma picks up the pace and covers for 2. Homicide, who is bald, claims Fantasma pulled his hair. Homicide takes control, working him over in the corner and Fantasma cuts him off with a back breaker for 2. Fantasma hits chops and a RANA. Homicide avoids the kick and lays in grounded strikes. The clothesline follows for 2. Homicide follows with uppercuts and then takes Fantasma to the floor. Homicide follows but Fantasma hits a backdrop on the floor. Back in and Homicide cuts him off, the overhead belly-to-belly follows for 2. He grounds the action again, and the cover gets 2. Fantasma cuts him off with an enziguri and high cross for 2. Homicide quickly hits a cutter, covering for 2. He calls for the Gringo killer, but Fantasma counters into thrill of the kill for the win. Fantasma defeated Homicide @ 7:00 via pin [**½] This was a nice and solid Xplosion match, with Fantasma picking up another win.

Time for Around the Ring with Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs talks about their friendship and getting manicures. Jacobs then talks about his history of painting his nails, which he loves. Jacobs says he dresses how he dresses because it’s just the way he is. He doesn’t think he’s strange or looks different. Jacobs started wrestling when he was in 8th grade, and talks about the horribly unsafe ring he trained in. He had a backyard fed, and Mathews did as well, it aired on public access TV. Jacobs recently digitized all of his old VHS tapes. He loves being on the road and is rarely ever home. Jacobs tans every day, and doesn’t fear cancer. He hates spray tan and makes fun of Mathews’ spray tan. Jacobs hasn’t worn guys pants in a long time.

From Final Resolution 2009: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels: This was another awesome installment in the classic feud between the two. It was 20-minutes of greatness that played off of and added to their legacy in the company and a very welcome addition to this show. THIS is the kind of match they should be highlighting. AJ Styles defeated Christopher Daniels @ 20:30 via pin [****½]

Kongo Kong vs. Grado: Jacobs & Katarina are at ringside. Grado speed walks away from Kong, and then attacks. Kong quickly cuts him off and lays in strikes. Grado slowly fires back, but Kong cuts him off and hits a belly to belly for 2. Kong misses a corner splash, lays in rights and jabs, but Kong won’t go down. More jabs follow and then elbows. Grado up top and hits a shoulder tackle, and Kong is down, but pops back up. The slam and top rope splash finishes Grado. Kongo Kong defeated Grado @ 3:25 via pin [*] This was a boring and bland outing, as neither do nothing for me at all in the ring. It only existed s a backdrop to further the Moose vs. Kong angle, which while appreciated, also does little to interest me.

– Katarina bails on Grado, as Kong kicks the shit out of Grado and sets up the steps to take him out like they did to Johnny Impact. Moose arrives to make the save and to continue their feud. They brawl, Jacobs distracts Moose allowing Kong to cut him off and takes him back into the ring. Moose fights back and dumps Kong.

– End Scene.

– Thanks for reading.

While certainly an improvement over last week’s show, mainly due to AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels (worth the rewatch), the choices made for this show remain puzzling. I have no idea why you’d show the Grado match and not the tag title change (also short) from the same show instead. This was an overall solid show, but if pressed on time, rewatch AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels.
