3.30Eli Drake vs. Fallah Bahh: they lock up and Drake follows with rights. He then bounces off of Bahh as he hits a shoulder tackle. He tries it again, same result and powders to the floor. Drake now attacks Bahh in the ropes and dropkicks the knee. Drake targets the knee, working it over in the ropes and grounding Bahh. Drake continues the assault on the knee, but Bahh fights off a figure four into a cradle for 2. Drake looks to pick up the pace, but Bahh cuts him off and hits a Samoan drop. The steamroller follows and he now looks for a banzai splash. Drake crotches him and hits a springboard moonsault for the win. Eli Drake defeated Fallah Bahh @ 5:00 via pin [**] This was an ok little match while it lasted, with Drake winning by simply being the smarter wrestler; heels don’t always need to cheat to win.

We go around the ring LAX’s Santana. Santana says it was a long road to get to Impact, and he had a small mind set in terms of wrestling. He grew up in the NYC circle and wanted to be like Low Ki & Homicide and be an indie guy forever. He says that he and Ortiz grinded hard and had a dream, chased it, and accomplished it together. He’s excited to face the Young Bucks on the Jericho Cruise and tear it up. He loves proving that tag team wrestling is alive and viable. This was taped prior to the great match with Jody Fleisch & Jonny Storm, and Santana says he was thrilled to be getting the match and almost couldn’t believe it. He says that their rise and fame are surreal and he couldn’t have imagined this 15-years ago when he was a troublemaker. He loves being a dad and talks about his love for his four-year old daughter.

X-Division Champion Samoa Joe vs. Daniels: This was an overall good, but flawed match and not on the level of their previous stuff. The match involved a lot of counter wrestling, but there was just a lot of issues in the overall structure, and things didn’t flow well or make sense like their previous efforts, which is surprising from such seasoned performers that had worked so well together in the past in several encounters. This was also a time when Joe had turned heel (complete with penis face tattoo), and for some reason, his work and matches started to lack in many ways. Whoever was laying out his matches was running his best stuff instead of letting Joe be Joe. It was good, but disappointing considering who was involved. Samoa Joe defeated Daniels @ 13:50 via Submission [***]

Lucha Bros (Pentagon & Fenix) vs. Cult of Lee (Lee & Konley): Lee and Pentagon start us off. It immediately breaks down with the Lucha Bros running wild and clearing the ring. Post break, and Fenix is working over Lee and hits a missile dropkick. Lee cuts off the cutter and work double teams until Pentagon makes the save, but he’s also quickly cut off. Konley follows wit rights and covers for 2. Konley works over Fenix, tags in Lee, and double teams follow until Pentagon makes the save. Konley grounds Fenix, and rakes the back. He lays in chops, and then Lee joins in and they continue to isolate Fenix. Fenix fights the off and hits the double cutter. Pentagon in and double teams follow from the Lucha Bros. Pentagon lays in chops on Konley, lighting him up. Lee makes the save, it breaks down and Cult of Lee hits a doomsday double stomp for 2 as Pentagon makes the save. The Lucha Bros look to take control, Pentagon is dumped and then takes out Konley. Dive by Fenix and Pentagon hits the super backstabber. The double stomp/package piledriver combo finishes things. Lucha Bros defeated The Cult of Lee @ 12:30 via pin [***¼] This was a good, fun, and action-packed opening match. The Lucha Bros are great and always deliver good and fun matches.

– End Scene.
