– You can check out my top 31 matches of JULY list at this link.

– We open with the usual high quality catch us up video package.

– Antonio Cueto is checking his mail and gets a wedding invitation from Johnny &Taya, and he says it won’t last. Kobra Moon arrives and says the Reptile Tribe has never received their rematch for the trios titles and she want s that tonight. She promises that they will prove their strength tonight, so Antonio books the match,

– Paul London & Saltador are in the ring. Antonio arrives and they discuss Mala Suerte’s death. He wants a chance at redemption and Saltador will be in action.

Matanza Cueto vs. Saltador: London tosses Saltador to Matanza, he actually gets in some offense until Matanza finishes him with wrath of the gods. Matanza Cueto defeated Saltador @ 0:47 via death [NR] MATANZA SACRIFICE #5!

– Son of Havoc & The Mack meet, and Killshot then arrives, noting that he doesn’t respect Havoc. Killshot promises to win the Gift of the Gods title tonight before they defend the trios titles. There’s some tension here as Killshot admits that he doesn’t like Havoc.

– Next week, Pentagon will defend against Cage, in a last man standing match.

Champion Dragon Azteca Jr vs. Killshot: Azteca lays in kicks and RANAs Killshot to the floor. Azteca follows, but as they work backing, Killshot hits a double stomp and then follows with a Sasuke special to the floor. Back in and Killshot covers for 2. He grounds the action and starts working submissions and then covers for 2. Azteca fires up and dumps Killshot. Azteca now hits an apron RANA to the floor. Back in and Azteca covers for 2. Azteca follows with clotheslines but Killshot fires back with uppercuts. Azteca then hits a leg drop off the ropes for 2. They work up top and Killshot fights Azteca off and lays in kicks as they work to the apron. They trade strikes and kicks; Killshot hits an apron DVD, and heads up top and hits the double stomp for a great near fall. They throw bombs now, lighting each other up, and Azteca hits the tornado DDT for the win. Champion Dragon Azteca Jr defeated Killshot @ 6:52 via pin [***¼] This was a good and action-packed sprint, with Azteca picking up the win and securing his second defense of the GOTG title. This was a lot of fun.

– Drago & Aerostar meet on the roof, and Drago doesn’t think he deserves a second chance. Aerostar says it was all Kobra Moon’s fault, and Drago is unsure he deserves their friendship, but Aerostar forgives him. Drago is unsure of things and flies away. They are good lucha lads.

Champions Killshot, Son of Havoc, & The Mack vs. Daga, Jeremiah Snake, & Kobra Moon: Killshot isn’t out with the champions. This is anything goes and tornado tag rules. They brawl at the bell as Snake isolates Havoc. Snake is dumped but Daga is in and Mack dumps him to the floor. Moon in and hits a RANA. Mack quickly dropkicks her to the floor, Snake back in and Mack hits a flying knee strike. Snake cuts him off and superkicks him to the floor. Killshot is finally here and works over Snake. He then works a head scissors, Moon in and then they work a human centipede of head scissors with Mack locking on a crab. They break, spill to the floor until Mack wipes out the pile with a tope. Killshot follows with a Sasuke special as Havoc follows with a moonsault onto the pile. Killshot cuts off Moon and Snake makes the save. Snake tosses her over the top and onto Killshot for a RANA. Back in and they double-team Killshot but Havoc makes the save. Daga back in but walks into a cutter by Havoc for 2. Havoc now hits a standing double stomp for 2. Havoc up top and drops down and it breaks down into the big move buffet. Mack takes out Moon, and then works over Snake and the standing moonsault gets 2. Mack up top and Snake cuts him off, hits Cheeky nandos, and then a powerbomb for 2. The stretch muffler follows but, Havoc runs wild and accidentally hits Killshot on a dive. Killshot then shoves him off the top and Snake hits the shoulder breaker and we have new champions. Daga, Jeremiah Snake, & Kobra Moon defeated Champions Killshot, Son of Havoc, & The Mack @ 9:05 via pin [***¼] This was another good, fun, and action filled match with the dysfunctional champions finally falling apart and losing, paying off the teases that started in episode one of this season.

– Post match, Killshot mocks Havoc for losing the titles. Killshot then lays him out with a top rope double stomp as the Mack looks on confused. Killshot tells him he doesn’t give a shit and leaves.

Cage arrives and starts to talk but pentagon arrives and lays him out with a superkick and they brawl to the floor. They brawl up the steps and Pentagon lays in chops. The fight continues into the second level and Pentagon lays out a mariachi with a guitar. Security tries to separate them, but Cage fights them off and the fight continues. They keep focusing on a priest in the crowd. “Father Rick O’Shea.” I love it. They fight onto the arch over the entrance, and then down into the bleachers. Back to ringside and Pentagon saves father O’Shea and then breaks his arm because he’s fucking Pentagon. He and Cage continue to braw as the show ends. That was a good and fun close to the show.

– The Mack meets with Antonio Cueto and he wants Killshot next week. Antonio says that Mack is facing Mil Muertes in the first ever “haunted house” match. Mack agrees and tells Antonio, “Trick or treat motherfu.”

– End Scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The final score: review Good
The 411
This week’s episode of Lucha Underground was a good show, with good and fun wrestling. The trios champions feud finally moved along, Matanza killed another man, Dragon Azteca Jr is doing well as Gift of the Gods Champion (for now), and we got a pretty hot closing angle and two matches locked in for next week.
