Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel: Black and Aichner to begin. They work into some counters, with Aichner looking to overpower Black. Barthel tags in and delivers uppercuts. Black cuts him off and runs wild with strikes, grounding things. Barthel hits an uppercut for 2. Aichner back in and lays the boots to Black. Quick tags follow, as they isolate Black. Double teams follow for a near fall. Black fires back with kicks, tags to Ricochet& Barthel. RANA by Ricochet, he runs them together and lays in strikes. The 619 follows and then the flying uppercut. The standing shooting star press gets 2. Barthel cuts off Ricochet and they hit the toss suplex and Aichner hits the double springboard moonsault for a great near fall. Ricochet fights off the powerbomb, hits John Woooooooo but Aichner hits the tornado DDT for 2. Barthel tags in and double teams follow. Ricochet fires up, dumps Aichner and tags in Black. He hits knee strikes, but gets posted. Black fights them off, Super RANA by Ricochet and the tope follows. Aichner cradles Black for 2, but eats Black mass and that’s that. Aleister Black & Ricochet defeated Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel @ 8:30 via pin [****] Holy shit that was a great sprint with all four men delivering.

The Forgotten Sons (Cutler & Blake) vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch: Burch and Cutler to begin. Burch grounds things, Lorcan tags in and Blake blind tags in and hits a back breaker. Cutler back in and they work the back of Lorcan, working quick tags and picking up near falls. More double teams connect as they keep Lorcan grounded. Lorcan fights to his feet, escapes and tags in Burch. He runs wild with clotheslines, follows with a dropkick and a German on both. The missile dropkick follows, Lorcan back in and he’s too hurt to hit the elevated DDT. Burch gets tossed, but Lorcan hits a dive and then gets killed by a lariat. The back breaker follows and Cutler covers for 2. The crab follows, Lorcan fights, and Burch makes the save. Hot tag to Burch, he’s distracted by Lorcan’s injury and gets double teamed for a near fall. Lorcan gets the tag, lights up both with chops and runs the Sons together. The double blockbuster follows. They hit the elevated DDT and Blake makes the save. Lorcan up top, they look for doomsday, but the powerbomb into the knees and double stomp follows and the Sons win. The Forgotten Sons defeated Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch @ 8:25 via pin [***] Good match overall, with the Forgotten Sons looking the best they have so far on NXT TV.

– Velveteen Dream & Matt Riddle have a confrontation, presumably setting up a North American Title match.

– Next week, Io Shirai vs. Bianca Belair in a #1 contender’s match.

The Street Profits vs. Moustache Mountain: Bate and Ford begin. They immediately work to the ground, with Bate taking early control. Ford battles back, Dawkins tags in and runs over Bate. Bate picks up the pace, hits an enziguri and tags in Seven and they follow with double teams. Dawkins lays in elbows on Seven, Ford tags in and they lay the boots to Seven. Ford works a cravat, but Seven hits a DDT. Bate & Dawkins tag in, Bate runs wild and hits an XPLODER. The running shooting star press gets 2. Seven dumps Ford but Dawkins spears Bate for 2. Ford hits a huge tope onto Seven, and the spinebuster and frog splash connect and that gets 2. Seven cuts off the doomsday device, hits an apron dragon suplex as Bate Germans Dawkins. The burning hammer/double stomp finishes Dawkins. Moustache Mountain defeated The Street Profits @ 7:25 via pin [***¼] This was another good match, with everyone working with a great sense of urgency.

DIY vs. Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly: Gargano and Fish to begin, O’Reilly tags in but Gargano maintains control and tags in Ciampa. Fish in and Ciampa lays in strikes, lays the boots to him and tags in Gargano. Fish fights him off, tags in O’Reilly and Ciampa blind tags in and dumps Fish & O’Reilly. Gargano follows with a suicide dive. O’Reilly cuts off Gargano, attacking the arm and tags in Fish. Quick tags follow, they double team Gargano, isolating him in their corner. O’Reilly lays the boots to him, takes out Ciampa, and follows with rolling suplexes. Fish back in, grounding Gargano. Fish follows with elbows, tags in O’Reilly and Gargano fights them off and hits the tornado DDT. Ciampa takes out Fish, gets the hot tag and runs wild on O’Reilly. Knee strikes follow, takes him up top and hits the tower of London for 2. O’Reilly looks for a heel hook but Ciampa Germans him, it breaks down and Ciampa hits the blue thunder bomb for 2. Gargano back in, O’Reilly fights back, and locks on the guillotine to counter the Gargano spear. Ciampa makes the save and Gargano covers for 2. He and O’Reilly trade, superkick by Gargano but O’Reilly rebound with a lariat. Tags to Fish & Ciampa, Ciampa teases a German to the floor, heads up top and Fish follows him up. Ciampa shoves him off, O’Reilly joins in and Fish hits the super falcon arrow, he did the deal! O’Reilly locks on the arm bar, Fish hits a diving top rope head butt, but Gargano makes the save. O’Reilly takes out Ciampa with a flying knee, but backing Ciampa hits the spike DDT. Gargano hits the slingshot DDT for a great near fall. The DIY finish finally finishes O’Reilly. DIY defeated Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly @ 14:05 via pin [****¼] This was absolutely great, DIY hasn’t missed a beat and Undisputed Era continue to be one of the best tag teams in all of wrestling. This was a Takeover quality tag match, easy.

This week’s NXT was a focused and overall absolutely outstanding show, maybe one of the best episodes ever. This as an absolute joy to watch.
