OFFICIAL RESULTS
– The Street Profits defeated Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli @ 3:35 via pin [**]
– Lars Sullivan defeated Raul Mendoza @ 1:45 via pin [NR]
– Ember Moon defeated Mercedes Martinez @ 6:55 via pin [***]

– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

The Street Profits vs. Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli: Dawkins and Sabbatelli start things off, Dawkins takes things to the mat but Sabbatelli escapes with elbows. Ford in and they work double teams on Sabbatelli and send Moss to the floor. Moss distracts Ford, allowing Sabbatelli to attack and tag Moss in. Moss hits a belly to back suplex, Sabbatelli tags back in and they continue to control, beating Ford down. Sabbatelli talks shit to Dawkins, but that allows Ford to make the tag. Dawkins in and hits clotheslines and a bulldog to Moss and Sabbatelli. The big jab connects and Dawkins pins Sabbatelli. The Street Profits defeated Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli @ 3:35 via pin [**] This was ok, with an out of nowhere finish that fell flat. Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli have a great look, but I am far from sold on them.

– We get a video package for Saturday’s Aleister Black/Velveteen Dream match.

Lars Sullivan vs. Raul Mendoza: Lars hits a head butt and takes control right away. The corner splash follows, and then another, just crushing Mendoza. The powerslam follows, and then crossface strikes. STOP THE DAMN MATCH! Lars hits the freak accident slam for the win. Raul Mendoza was 26. Lars Sullivan defeated Raul Mendoza @ 1:45 via pin [NR] This was exactly what it needed to be; LARS SMASH!

– Lars looks to kill Mendoza, but Kassius Ohno arrives for a staredown with Lars, but Lars just laughs and leaves. Lars gives no fucks.

– Johnny Gargano meets with William Regal, and says he wants to turn things around. Regal says Pete Dunne issued an open challenge for the UK Championship and offers it to Gargano, who accepts. That will air next week.

– We get a great WarGames video package.

Ember Moon vs. Mercedes Martinez: This was set up when Martinez said that Moon couldn’t win the big matches, so Moon wanted to prove her wrong. They lock up to begin, Martinez works a side headlock, grabs the hair to keep the hold. Martinez then hits a shoulder block, lays the boots to Moon and grounds her with the side headlock. Martinez follows with kicks and slaps, but Moon battles back, hitting the dropkick and basement dropkick, covering for 2. Moons hits a corner clothesline, they trade center ring and Martinez hits a spinebuster, covering for 2. Post break and Martinez lays in some vicious chops. The rolling suplexes follow, hitting three in a row, covering for 2. Moon fights off the fisherman buster, and hits an enziguri. Moon follows with a RANA and Martinez spills to the floor. Moon hits the suicide dive; tosses Martinez back in and heads up top but Martinez cuts her off with a big boot. Martinez hits a cutter out of the corner, and that gets a good near fall. Moon counters the fisherman buster with a roll up for 2. Moon avoids the charge, works over Martinez in the ropes and Moon follows with the eclipse for the win. Ember Moon defeated Mercedes Martinez @ 6:55 via pin [***] I thought that this was a good back and forth match, with Moon proving Martinez wrong and picking up a quality win ahead of Saturday.

– Post match, Cross, Royce and Sane arrive and like last week, do nothing.

– Ruby Riot faces Sonya Deville next week.

Drew McIntyre and Andrade “Cien” Almas: Face to Face: McIntyre is out first. He says Almas’ plan worked, well, Zelina’s plan worked and Almas has his title shot. “Now you’re both in trouble.” But now you have what you wanted, and the pressure is on. Will you be able to step up? And then there’s Zelina, who talks bout success and climbing mountains. Almas will find out soon that McIntyre is the mountain. He tells Almas to be a man and come out here and face him like a man. Unless, Zelina won’t allow you off the leash for the night. Almas’ music hits and Zelina arrives. Almas finally arrives and hits the ring and they brawl. Vega dives onto McIntyre, gets caught, but that allows Almas to chop block McIntyre and beat him down. Almas hits the hammerlock DDT, and Vega has the NXT title and tell Almas that this is what it’s all about.

– Thanks for reading.

– End scene.

This was an overall solid show this week, the Lars squash and confrontation with Ohno was good as was Moon vs. Martinez; the closing angle was solid, but I felt lacked the heat a main event angle/beat down should have. But overall, as a go home show for Takeover, it fell flat for me.
