– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

Johnny Gargano vs. Tino Sabbatelli: Gargano beat Riddick Moss last week, and this is the continuation of Moss & Sabbatelli trying to bully Gargano. Sabbatelli looks to use his power advantage to begin. He bullies Gargano around a bit, Gargano fires up but eats a dropkick. Sabbatelli slams Gargano to the buckles and hits a side slam for 2. He grounds the action, but Gargano fights to his feet and starts to use his speed and fires up with strikes. The enziguri follows, but Sabbatelli counters the slingshot DDT with a powerslam. He talks some trash, but didn’t go for the pin. Gargano hits a superkick and locks in the Gargano escape for the win. Johnny Gargano defeated Tino Sabbatelli @ 3:45 via submission [**]

Gargano picks up another win, and unlike last week, showed no doubts this time around. He keeps momentum in a solid little match.

– Strong meets with Regal, claiming he earned a title shot. Regal agrees, and books him vs. McIntyre in two weeks.

– Commentary hypes that the women’s division competitors are all looking to earn a chance to win the vacated title. We see footage of Asuka vacating the title.

– Sonya Deville cuts a promo, claiming Asuka left because Asuka knew she’d lose to her. The championship is as good as hers.

Biana Belair vs. Lacey Evans: Both ladies competed in the Mae Young Classic. Both did well, but I felt that Belair was more impressive and really has amazing potential. They lockup to begin, going power for power, they push and shove and Belair slams Evans down. The shoulder block follows. Evans trips her up, but Belair slams her down by the hair. Belair hits an implant buster, covering for 2. She works Evans over in the ropes, but Evans trips her up and hits a slingshot elbow drop for 2. Belair cuts her off and hits a fisherman’s suplex, covering for 2. Belair then works her over in the corner, but Evans hits a right and clothesline. She follows with kicks and hits a broncobuster. The neck breaker follows for 2. Belair stun guns her, hits the hair whip and the alley oop finishes Evans. Biana Belair defeated Lacey Evans @ 4:18 via pin [**¼] This was a really solid back and forth effort, especially considering their lack of experience. Belair screams star potential, and carries herself very well for someone with such little in ring experience.

Aleister Black is here to speak for the first time, wearing a spiffy suit. He started his journey 15-years ago, and that led him to NXT. He traveled the world and experienced a lot, and but them on his skin in the form of these scars, so that he could always remember and never forget. But his journey in NXT Is far from done. He knows what he needs to do, but before he can continue, the Velveteen Dream arrives and interrupts. The Dream says everything that fades to black must come into the light. Black is now blinded by the light of the Dream. But Dream just doesn’t see it. Where are your scars? The Dream doesn’t see scars, he sees a man who is hurt and in pain. He says it’s scribbled on his skin like lies. He then says Black’s biggest issue is fear, saying Black looks afraid to show emotion. And afraid of the light. He knows Black has a heart. Dream tries to fondle him, so Black kicks his hand way and takes a seat. Dream sits in front of him and then slithers away. Interesting segment, it looks as if Dream will get his first real program and that we’ll get a chance to see what he really has in the ring. In a way this feels like a play off of Goldust and Razor, which should play into both men’s strengths well.

– We get a video history of Lars Sullivan and No Way Jose.

– We get a Dakota Kai video package. She’s going to kick some fucking heads in.

Lars Sullivan vs. No Way Jose: Jose attacks at the bell, firing away with rights. He then tries a running cross body but runs into a wall and crumbles to the mat. Sullivan takes Jose to the floor, slamming him off the apron several times. Back in and Sullivan hits several corner attacks, and then tries to rip off Jose’s head with a neck crank. Jose fights back, works a sleeper but Sullivan escapes. Jose fires up one more time, hitting strikes but Sullivan just runs him over. Sullivan heads up top and hits a flying head butt! The big single armed slam (that shit needs a cool name, stat) follows; LARS KILL TINY CONGA MAN! Lars Sullivan defeated No Way Jose @ 3:10 via pin [**] This was a nice little extended squash, Sullivan killing fools is greatly entertaining.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly vs. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate: Bate and O’Reilly in to begin. They work some slick back and forth, with Bate hitting the dropkick and tagging in Seven. They work double teams, but O’Reilly manages to tag out to Fish. O’Reilly distracts Seven, allowing Fish to attack and take control. He works knee strikes, hits the senton atomico and covers for 2. O’Reilly tags in, they double-team Seven, and O’Reilly covers for 2. reDRagon work double teams, just effortless work from the two as you’d expect. Seven comes back with the DDT, but O’Reilly rushes in and takes out Bate and continues to work over Seven with ground and pound. Seven to the floor and Fish spears him into the barricade. Post break, Fish maintains control as he and O’Reilly work the heat on Seven. Seven hits the seven star lariat and both men are down. Wholesale changes to Bate and O’Reilly. Bate runs wild, hits a big XPLODER and running shooting star press, covering for 2. Fish sent to the floor, O’Reilly eats a double team powerbomb for 2. Seven hits a suicide dive, but O’Reilly counters the Tyler driver into a guillotine. Bate powers out to his feet and Fish then makes the save. Chasing the dragon gets a near fall as Bate gets a foot on the ropes. Bate counters chasing the dragon, tags in Seven and works both over. O’Reilly grabs an arm bar, drags Seven to the mat and Seven escapes into a half crab. O’Reilly makes the save, Cole takes out Bate on the floor with a superkick. Double kicks to Seven, and then the total elimination is enough to put Seven away. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defeated Trent Seven and Tyler Bate @ 10:27 via pin [***½] This was a very good main event, with both teams looking good, and Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly stealing the win thanks to Adam Cole’s help. Give two great teams some time to work and good things happen, I’d love to see a rematch on a Takeover down the line.

– Post match, Cole and the Gang celebrate and Drew McIntyre arrives. He heads to the ring and they bail through the crowd. Unfortunately for them, Sanity is behind them. IT’S A TRAP! They all brawl as Sanity looks for revenge. McIntyre attacks O’Reilly but Cole and the Gang manage to escape.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

This was a really solid episode of NXT TV with nothing bad; Black and Dream are about to feud, Gargano picked up another win, Lars killed a full and the main event was very good and also continued Cole and the Gang’s issues with Sanity and McIntyre. Solid work all around.
