– Follow all of my reviews at this link.
– I wrote a column looking at the possible candidates for Goldust’s newest masterpiece at this link.
– I also did a Q&A over the weekend, which you can read at this link.
– Here are my takeaways from the NJPW G1 Climax.
– And here I ranked the NJPW G1 Climax matches from worst to first.

Kazarian is out to kick off the show. He is insulted that the crowd doesn’t respect the accomplishments of himself & Daniels, adding that Daniels was disrespected during his ROH title run. Kazarian says they don’t deserver Daniels, and accuses them of being too concerned with throwing streamers (and some one actually throws one) which just pisses off Kazarian. He is here to destroy everything that the fans love, “because you deserve it” as he mocked that chant, and closing by calling the fans “stupid marks.”

Punishment Martinez vs. Flip Gordon: Flip uses his speed and flips to avoid Martinez early, looks for a dive and gets cut off. Flip follows with an apron kick, and then hits the moonsault to the floor. Back in and Martinez cuts off Flip and hip tosses him to the buckles. Martinez takes the heat as he decapitates Flip with a clothesline. Post break and Martinez maintains control. Flip starts to fire back with strikes and kicks, with some flips mixed in. Flip follows with a springboard sling blade. Flip runs wild, picking up the pace and hitting a PELE. Flip then hits a backflipping Samoan drop and then an asai moonsault for 2. Martinez cuts him upp heads up top but eats a kick and falls to the floor Flip then hits a step up dive, but back in the ring Martinez hit the big boot, and then did the deal with the falcon arrow for 2. Martinez misses the springboard senton, and Flip hits a standing moonsault. Martinez up top, Flip follows and looks for the kick again, but Martinez cuts him off and hits the super chokeslam for the win. Punishment Martinez defeated Flip Gordon @ 8:22 via pin [***] This was good and fun, they played the contrasting styles well, and both men played their roles well. Flip did fun flippy shit and made the crowd happy and easy for him to root for, Martinez punished him and looked like a bad ass; pretty simple formula. Pro wrestling isn’t as hard as some make it out to be.

– Post match Jay White attacks Martinez, looking for some revenge and to continue their feud.

– Kenny King says he is focused on KUSHIDA and winning the ROH TV Title.

– Colt cabana tries to interview the Tempura Boyz, but he gets confused because they only speak Japanese. Well that was productive.

Rhett Titus vs. Cheeseburger: Titus attacks at the bell, Cheeseburger looks to fight back, but Titus catches the high cross and then fights off the roll ups and kicks out. Cheeseburger counters a Razor’s edge with a RANA, hits the shotei but Will Ferrara is out to distract Cheeseburger; Titus then hits the big dog slash for the win. Rhett Titus defeated Cheeseburger @ 2:37 via pin [NR] This was a fine little outing, giving Titus a win as he begins life post Rebellion, and also continued the Ferrara vs. Cheeseburger feud. Also, Titus showed Ferrara some appreciation post match, teasing a possible alliance or even a tag team.

– Cody cuts a promo about being everywhere and beating everyone, and that no one can outwork or beat him.

– Colt Cabana teased teaming up with the Tempura Boyz to face Dalton Castle and THE BOYS for the trios titles. Dalton Castle (in a fucking fantastic looking track suit) and the boys make their way out. Castle says he heard Cabana running his mouth, and says that if Cabana wants a match, he’ll do it and will put the titles on the line. They agree to the match for next week.

– We get a video package for Shane Taylor.

ROH TV Title Match: Champion KUSHIDA vs. Kenny King: They shake hands and then start things off with some fast paced grappling. They then work into a series of counters, and King scoring with the first near fall of the match. King takes control, putting together a nice string of moves and then taking KUSHIDA down and working a variation on the last chancery. KUSHIDA battles to hi feet, and fights of the royal flush and tries for the hover board lock. King escapes to the floor, and KUSHIDA scores with a RANA that sends King to the post. KUSHIDA up top and wipes out King with a senton dive. Back in and KUSHIDA looks for the high cross, but King rolls through and cuts that off. They work up top and KUSHIDA attacks the arm and hits a single DDT off the ropes and then follows with kicks and into the hover board lock but Champion KUSHIDA vs. Kenny King went to a no contest @ 6:15 [**½] Leave it to Delirious to run the first interesting Kenny King match in years. They were well on their way to a good match.

– King says he’s worked too hard to have it ruined by the Bullet Cub B team, and then pulls a Teddy Long….

KUSHIDA & Kenny King vs. Adam Page & Marty Scurll: They start off with the big brawl, but Bullet Club cuts them off and takes control and works over KUSHIDA. KUSHIDA survives, gets to hot tag to King who hits a spinebuster on Page for the near fall. King tries to fight off both, but Scurll cuts him off and pulls him to the floor. Back in the ring King cuts off Page with a spin kick and gets the tag to KUSHIDA. KUSHIDA runs wild on both, fights into the hover board lock. Scurll breaks it up, but KUSHIDA fights back and slams Page into Scurll’s groin. KUSHIDA & Scurll trade rights, Scurll then does his finger break spot but KUSHIDA cuts off the chicken wing with a PELE. KUSHIDA then locks in the hover board lock, Scurll fights and Page makes the save. Scurll takes out King, KUSHIDA sends Scurll to the floor but Page hits the buckshot lariat and shooting star off the apron onto King. King blind tags on, hits the blockbuster and sends Scurll to the floor; royal flush on Page and that’s that.

KUSHIDA & Kenny King defeated Adam Page & Marty Scurll @ 9:30 via pin [***] This was all done to fully reinforce the Kenny King face turn, and to help build to Saturday’s ROH War of The Worlds UK iPPV, which features KUSHIDA vs. Marty Scurll vs. Dalton Castle vs. Hiromu Takahashi & Adam Page vs. Kenny King. This was an overall good and fun tag to close the show.

The build to the ROH War of The Worlds UK iPPV could have been better, but this was an overall solid show this week.
