War Machine (Ray Rowe & Hanson) vs. Jay White & Jonathan Gresham: Gresham and White attack at the bell, but it didn’t go well for them as War Machine over powered them and punished them for their poor choice. Gresham and White managed to pick up the pace and turn the tide. That was until Gresham tried to match strikes with Hanson. He tags out to White, and he beats down Hanson on the corner. Hanson cuts him off with a lariat, Rowe tags in and hits shotgun knees. Gresham tries to make a save, but he gets tossed aside. Rowe then slams Gresham onto White. White and Gresham keep fighting, clear the ring, and White hits a dive as we go to break. Post break, Hanson hits the forever clotheslines, just destroying the young lads. He then hits a corner splash and broncobuster on both. Rowe tags in, Gresham cuts off Hanson as he heads up top and hits a RANA. Rowe powerbombs White and then Gresham gets Germaned out of his boots. Gresham manages to cut off fallout, Rowe attacks, but White and Gresham fight him off and hit a stunner, a flatliner and a German gets a near fall. They continue to double team Rowe, but Hanson cuts off Gresham but walks into the uranage by White. Rowe fires up as White delivers strikes, he also fights off Gresham and hits the big knee strike. Gresham knocks Hanson to the floor, and then a dive follows. White hits the brainbuster on Rowe, Gresham follows with a 450 for a great near fall! White gets sent to the floor, and War Machine isolates Gresham, hits the pop up power slam and picks up the win. War Machine defeated Jay White & Jonathan Gresham @ 13:30 via pin [***¾] This was a VERY good back and forth opening match that felt like a PPV quality match. Great work from all involved, they had an invested crowd and this was the best ROH TV match in a while.

– Post match, Punishment Martinez arrives and lays out White, getting revenge for White previously defeating him.

– Caprice Coleman was supposed to debut his new interview segment, but things weren’t properly prepared for him, so he calls it off. He yells at the production crew, calling them jive turkeys, and claims ROH isn’t treating him right, just like when he was in the rebellion, and that he’ll hold off until next week.

– QT Marshal is out on commentary.

– Jay Briscoe is out with a concussion, due to last week’s attack by The Kingdom.

Shane Taylor vs. Josh Woods: Woods is the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament. Woods attacks at the bell with a knee strike, strikes and kicks. They brawl to the floor, Taylor slams him to the barricade and we go to a break, Post break and they are back in the ring with Taylor controlling. Taylor slows the pace, and hits the corner ass attack, covering for 1. Taylor talks trash and hits the Saito suplex for 2. Woods fires back with knee strikes and a superman punch. Taylor cuts him off with a lariat, but Woods works into an arm bar. Taylor rolls and escapes, Woods hits leg kicks and knee strikes; the ankle lock follows and then hits a bog dead lift German for 2. Taylor cuts off the attack of Woods, and he hits a knee strike, covering for 2. Taylor looks for a chair now, but the ref takes it away and Woods rolls him up for the win. Josh Woods defeated Shane Taylor @ 8:05 via pin [**½] This was going well until the flat ending, I felt it went a bit long and that it peaked about two-minutes before they went home.

– Taylor attacks and lays him out post match with the big splash. QT Marshal enters the ring and tells Taylor to keep attacking. Marshal then holds Woods so that Taylor can hit his KO punch. Marshal then pays him off.

– They talk about Cody defending against Minoru Suzuki at Death Before Dishonor; Cody may die on September 22nd. We see that Cody is not pleased with the news; don’t issue open challenges bro.

– Kenny King talks about his run on The Bachelorette, and then reveals that he gets another shot at KUSHIDA and the ROH TV Title (since Bullet Cub ruined his first shot) at the Death Before Dishonor PPV. He promises to be the best Kenny King in his hometown of Las Vegas. This was a really good sit down interview, and this will be King’s big chance to deliver.

ROH Tag Team Title Match: Champions The Young Bucks vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Sabin & Shelley): Nick and Sabin go back and forth to begin, it quickly breaks down into a brawl but the Guns take control and clear the ring. Sabin follows with a dive. Back in and the Guns maintain control, hitting double teams and quick tags. Nick finally makes the save for Matt, allowing the Bucks to work through a series of double teams. The Guns get cleared to the floor, and then Nick hits a dive as he and Matt celebrate. Back in and the Bucks take the heat on Shelley, as Nick says “we aren’t Generation Me anymore.” The Bucks lock in sharpshooters and too sweet each other as we take a break. Post break, a miscommunication by the Bucks allows Shelley to make a comeback and get the hot tag to Sabin. He runs wild, hits a missile dropkick and a dive. Matt tries to fight off the Guns, Nick back in and he gets tossed into Matt and sent to the floor; Shelley hits a plancha. The Guns look to finish things, Nick buts them off and matt takes out Shelley in the ring. Nick tags back in, he takes out the Guns and then hits the slingshot x-factor and then a moonsault to the floor. He heads up top, the swanton misses and Shelley flies back in and the Guns hit the dream sequence on Matt. We get a superkick party from all four and they work into everyone down. The Addiction hits the ring and the ref calls off the match. They take out the ref and beat down the Guns on the floor. They then shove “a fan” in a Bullet Club shirt. Champions The Young Bucks vs. The Motor City Machine Guns went to a no contest @ 14:25 [***¼] This was a good match that felt as if it was about to get really great and build to a hot finish, until the run in. I suppose that this sets up a three-way, possibly for the PPV, which should be very good as they all work well together.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The final score: review Good
The 411
This was a good episode of ROH TV, with the opener stealing the show and the main event being good and likely setting up a PPV match.
