– We start off with Jay & the Bruiser brawling to the ring.

NO DQ Match: Jay Lethal vs. The Beer City Bruiser: It’s all Jay as they brawl to the ring, Jay avoids the cannonball but follows with one of his own. Silas Young makes his way to the ring, but security holds him back. We work through a commercial, and when we come back, Jay has a chair and lays Bruiser over a mini-keg as Young joins commentary. Bruiser avoids the attack, and follows up with some chair shots. Young tries to go ringside again, but is held off again. Bruiser hits a low blow. They spend a lot of time talking with Young as Bruiser works the control, setting up the next match for Death Before Dishonor. Jay sidesteps Bruiser, and he runs into the chair that he wedged in the corner. Post second break, jay misses the top rope elbow drop. He then hits the lethal injection, but doesn’t make the pin. Jay duct tapes Bruiser to the ropes, grabs the mini-keg and attacks the knee of Bruiser with it. He then gets a chair, lays the keg on the leg and assaults it with chair shots. Jay the locks in the figure four and Bruiser taps. Jay Lethal defeated The Beer City Bruiser @ 15:11 via submission [***] This was a good little brawl, but more importanty a good angle that allowed the face to get a redemption victory over the minion before moving onto the big boss. Young and the Bruiser took out Lethal at Best in the World, injuring him and in theory costing him a shot at the IWGP US Title at the NJPW USA specials. Lethal and Young will face at Death Before Dishonor in a “real last man” street fight.

– Post match Lethal continues the attack while security holds Young back.

– Minoru Suzuki is coming to Death Before Dishonor to eat Cody’s soul.

– Cody isn’t impressed by “real” and MMA bullshit. He promises to stretch and break Suzuki, because he’s real.

– We see footage of Will Ferarra attacking Cheeseburger at an autograph signing. Ferarra was dressed as a fan in a mask.

– We get highlights of last week, where the Addiction ruined the tag team title match.

– Caprice Coleman is backstage for his special interview segment, but he has no set as he requested, just like last week. Kazarian and Daniels are his guests this week, and they all run down ROH management as well as the ROH fans. They attacked last week, not because they want to win the tag titles, but because the ROH fans betrayed Daniels. He wanted to lead ROH into the future, but the fans didn’t want that. They will find out what the fans wants and ruin it all, and will burn this place down if they have to.

Will Ferrara vs. Howie Timberché: Timberché controls at the bell, using his power and doing some dancing and singing. He hits the big slam and elbow drop, covering for 2. The dropkick follows, and Ferarra tales a powder. Timberché follows and works him over on the floor until Ferarra posts him and then hits a suicide dive into a tornado DDT. Back in the ring and Ferarra hits some JYD style head butts, but Timberché cuts him off, hitting the spinning back elbow. Timberché sets Ferarra into he tree of WHOAH, hits the back handspring elbow and that gets 2. Ferarra hits a low blow and tornado DDT for the win. Will Ferrara defeated Howie Timberché @ 4:19 via pin [**] This was a fine little match to give Ferarra a win ahead of his match with former friend and tag partner Cheeseburger. The only problem was that Timberché came across about 100 times more interesting than Ferarra.

– Cheeseburger arrives now, proposes a match for next week, and Ferarra agrees.

– Jay Briscoe cuts a promo, noting that he suffered a concussion at the hands of the Kingdom. ROH’s doctors say he’s a liability even though he was out partying that same night. ROH didn’t cancel his plane ticket so here’s here.

Cody & Adam Page vs. Bully Ray & Mark Briscoe: After playing go the crowd, Briscoe attacks Cody and works him over and sends him to the floor. The blockbuster on Page follows. Back in and Briscoe covers for 2. He keeps control, working over Cody with ease and picking up near falls. Cody slowly fights back, but Briscoe cuts him off and hits the clothesline for 2. Page grabs at Briscoe and distracts him before hitting the buckshot lariat, and also sending Bully to the floor. Page and Cody isolate Briscoe in their corner, isolating Briscoe and working double teams when they can. Post break, Briscoe hits a desperation German and tags in Bully. Bully runs wild, hitting clotheslines and then corner splashes to both. Bully goes for flip fop and fly, but Page grabs his balls to stop that. Bully works over Cody, Briscoe hits the wazzup elbow drop and Marty Scurll arrives but Jay Briscoe is here to take him out. Bully attacks Cody with the umbrella, Jay sets up a table and brawls with Scurll. They fight to the apron, but Scurll runs away and they brawl into the crowd. Back in and Bully & Briscoe hit a doomsday device on Page. Bully takes Page to the table, lays Page on it but Cody makes the save and posts him. Back in the ring and Briscoe hits a fisherman buster on Cody for 2. Briscoe up top and the Kingdom arrive, knock Cody to the mat and Cody hits cross Rhodes for the win. Cody & Adam Page defeated Bully Ray & Mark Briscoe @ 11:20 via pin [**½] The first half of this was really lethargic and quite boring, while the second half got too busy with Jay, Marty & the Kingdom’s involvement. This was average at best, with the only positive is that it add to the build to Bully & The Briscoes vs. The Kingdom at the PPV, with the winners of that getting a shot at the trios titles later that night. But they desperately need to stop the bullshit finishes around the weekly main events, it makes it almost impossible to care about the matches.

– Post match, the Kingdom layout Bully & The Briscoes, hitting rock star supernova on Jay,

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The 411
This was an overall solid, but skippable show. The best things they did was build to the Lethal vs. Young & Bully & The Briscoes vs. The Kingdom PPV matches, I just hope that the build gets better over the next two weeks, as ROH has really lacked in terms of PPV build this year. Most of the time the PPV shave been good, but the shows leading into them have been like, “oh hey, we have a $40 PPV coming up, buy it… or not I guess.”
