Gran Metalik vs. TJP: This is a rematch from last week, which TJP lost. TJP attacks at the bell, looking for some retribution after last week’s loss. Metalik quickly fights back, picks up the pace and hits a series of arm drags. Kalisto watches on as Metalik sends TJP to the floor. Metalik follows with the moonsault to the floor, maintaining control. Back in and TJP cuts of Metalik with a dropkick. TJP follows with a back elbow, and then grounds Metalik, laying in strikes. TJP follows with a senton atomico, covering for 2. TJP battles back, heads up top by TJP crotches him. TJP misses the dropkick, Metalik to the pos and hits a high cross. The superkick follows and then the bulldog and a dropkick. The ropewalk elbow drop connects, but TJP survives, kicking out at 2. TJP counters out of the Metalik driver, but Metalik counters out of the gut buster into a cradle and beats TJP again. Gran Metalik defeated TJP @ 5:17 via pin [***] This was a short but good match, with a crowd that was actually invested and making noise, and both playing well off of last week’s match. They work very well together, and TJP loses again, and rushed to the back pissed that he’s now lost twice to the man who he beat to win the CWC.

– TJP throws a temper tantrum backstage and Dasha catches him crying.

– We get a history of the Itami/Kendrick/Gallagher angle. Gallagher cuts a backstage promo, he’s been tortured as he tries to avenge his friend Brian Kendrick. Gallagher is the man with the plan now, and will find Itami’s weakness, and he will then attack it. Itami will regret coming to 205 live when he’s done with him. Good promo from Gallagher, something he’s long needed to be given the chance to cut since turning heel.

Cedric Alexander w/Goldust Talk: Goldust talks about seizing opportunities, and while some may find their relationship, odd, Goldust knows a star when he sees one and says Alexander will win gold at the Royal Rumble. Alexander agrees and thanks Goldust for being a great mentor & friend. Enzo arrives now and has the Zo Train with him. Enzo says Alexander deserves an award for acting buddy buddy, and claims to be a bigger star than Alexander & Goldust. Enzo promises to put a $2,500 foot across Alexander’s face at the Rumble. Goldust runs down Enzo, and Enzo says he isn’t under 205 and should shut up. Goldust tells them to make him shut up. Enzo and his boys head to the ring, and then tells Goldust he has to audition to get to him. He says Goldust has to beat the Zo Train to get him.

Goldust vs. Gulak, Nese, & Daivari: Gulak & Goldust in to begin. Goldust takes control right away, and Daivari now tags in. Goldust takes control, hitting atomic drops and strikes. Nese distracts Goldust and the Zo Train takes the heat, working over Goldust in their corner. Goldust finally fights back, hitting a spinebuster and Gulak tags in. Goldust continues to battle back with strikes and a bulldog. The snap slam gets 2 as Daivari makes the save. Nese looks for a dive, but accidentally takes out Daivari, Alexander takes out Enzo and Goldust finishes Gulak with the final cut. Goldust defeated Gulak, Nese, & Daivari @ 3:57 via pin [**] This was an ok little match, with Goldust working hard and looking like he’s having fun. His relationship with Alexander is odd, but it works in an odd couple kind of way.

– End Scene.

– Thanks for reading.

Tonight’s episode of 205 Live was a solid show in it’s shortened format. The TJP vs. Metalik match was good, the Gallagher promo was good and the overall closing stuff with Alexander, Goldust & The Zo train was ok. Solid, but nothing must see here.
