Tournament Match: Oney Lorcan defeated Humberto Carrillo @ 12:08 via pin [***½]
Tournament Match: Cedric Alexander defeated Akira Tozawa @ 18:09 via pin [****]

– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

– We get a really good Oney Lorcan video package.

Humberto Carrillo vs. Oney Lorcan: They work a slow and tentative start until Carrillo picks up the pace a bit, frustrating Lorcan. Orcan looks for strikes, but Carrillo is too fast for him. Lorcan grabs a headlock, looking to slow Carrillo. He starts laying in chops, and takes control, dropkicking Carrillo to the floor. He follows, works him over and looks for a countout. Lorcan opts to bring him back in, laying in chops and uppercuts, covering for 2. Lorcan grounds things, keeping Carrillo slowed. Carrillo fights to his feet, but Lorcan pummels him with clubbing strikes and more chops. Carrillo fires back, but Lorcan continues to light him up until Carrillo scores with kicks, arm drags and a suicide dive. Back in and the standing moonsault gets 2. Carrillo follows with a tope to the floor, and back in, Lorcan cuts him off with an uppercut. They battle on the apron; Lorcan hits a sick fisherman’s suplex on the apron and rolls him back in, covering for 2. Carrillo fights off the half and half, but Lorcan slaps the shit out of him until Carrillo hits a superkick. The sitout powerbomb gets 2. Carrillo up top, but the moonsault eats feet. The half and half follows and Lorcan wins! Oney Lorcan defeated Humberto Carrillo @ 12:08 via pin [***½] This was a very good and competitive match, where they took an uninterested crowd and got them into it by the end. Both guys looked good and I loved that Lorcan won.

– Lorcan moves on to face the winner of the main event tonight.

– Mike & Maria are upset about Mike’s match tonight.

Mike Kanellis vs. Colby Corino: Kanellis attacks before the bell, kicking the shit out of Colby. Kanellis hits a lariat, neck breaker, and stands tall. No official match. Kanellis showing a more serious side is good, we’ll see if it actually goes somewhere.

– We get video packages on Tony Nese & Cedric Alexander.

Cedric Alexander vs. Akira Tozawa: Alexander grounds things right away, leading to a stand off. They work into some back and forth, counters, and Alexander gets a cradle for 2. Tozawa follows with arm drags, grounding and frustrating Alexander. Tozawa looks for a dive, but Alexander slides in and cuts him off with a gut buster, covering for 2. Alexander takes him to the floor, follows with chops and then rolls him back in. Alexander grounds things, working the ribs. The dropkick follows, and Alexander covers for 2. Tozawa battles back with a jawbreaker, but Alexander cuts off the senton and kicks him to the floor. Alexander follows, slams Tozawa to the apron and starts to soften up the back. Back in and Tozawa fires up with elbows and chops. The jab follows and then a RANA. Tozawa hits the suicide dive, back in he heads up top and hits a missile dropkick for 2. Tozawa looks for a German, but his back is too weak and then opts for the octopus until Alexander hits the side slam. Alexander trips him up, hits the running kick and slingshot flatliner for a good near fall. Alexander follows with strikes, they trade, Tozawa counters the lumbar check, and cradles Alexander for 2. The big boot connects, another, but Alexander hits a back fist but Tozawa counters lumbar check again, and hits a reverse RANA for a great near fall! Both are tired, trading strikes, octopus by Tozawa and drags Alexander to the mat. Alexander fights, but powers out only to eat a German. Tozawa up top, Alexander cuts him off, lays in strikes and follows him up. Tozawa knocks him off, and the senton is countered and the lumbar check finally finishes it. Cedric Alexander defeated Akira Tozawa @ 18:09 via pin [****] This was a great match that played well off of their previous interactions, and also did a good job of keeping the winner in doubt until the end.

– Next week, Tony Nese vs. Drew Gulak & Oney Lorcan vs. Cedric Alexander in tournament semifinal matches.

– End Scene.

– Thanks for reading.
