– Nigel McGuinness makes his 205 Live commentary debut here tonight.

– Rich Swann arrives to watch the match, and even has some popcorn. He joins commentary, sitting on the table.

TJP vs. Ariya Daivari: This was set up last week when TJP attacked Daivari, revealing that he wasn’t really injured. They trade strikes right away, they have some miscommunication in the ropes as TJP hits a sloppy slingshot dropkick, and covers for 2. Bad start to this. Daivari attacks the knee and hits a draping reverse DDT, covering for 2. Daivari follows with a back breaker, covering for 2. Daivari tries to ground the action, but TJP escapes and follow with a springboard forearm and kicks. Rolling suplexes follow, and TJP covers for 2. Daivari hits a high knee, covering for 2. He lays the boots to TJP, sending him to the floor. Back in and Daivari up top, and he misses the frog splash. TJP hits the detonation kick for the win. TJP defeated Ariya Daivari @ 4:10 via pin [*½] This was really no good, the first 45-seconds were a mess and it never felt as if they settled in to a cohesive flow. They really never recovered from it.

– Swann challenges TJP for a match next week.

– We get highlights of Kendrick beating and bloodying Gallagher on last week’s show.

– TJP vs. Swann is official for next week.

– Gulak complains about not being in tonight’s main event. He says people fear what they don’t understand. He has a PowerPoint presentation for us. He shares his plan for a better 205 live. 1. No jumping off the top rope. 2. No jumping of the middle rope. Before he can get to #3, Tozawa arrives.

Akira Tozawa vs. Drew Gulak: They lock up, and Gulak quickly grounds Tozawa with a side headlock. Tozawa to his feet, he picks up the pace and hits a dropkick. Gulak backs off but then eats another dropkick. Tozawa hits a backdrop, kick and Gulak crawls to the apron. Tozawa kicks him to the floor. Gulak then pulls Tozawa off the apron and into the barricade. Back in they go, and Gulak again grounds the action. Tozawa makes the ropes, but Gulak fires away with chops and works over Tozawa in the corner. He lays the boots to him, Tozawa fires back, but Gulak grounds him and works the arm, almost working a version of the CHIKARA special. Tozawa fights out to his feet, lays in a big right and hits the RANA. He knocks Gulak to the floor and hits the suicide dive. Back in and Tozawa covers for 2. Tozawa hits the Saito suplex, covering for 2. Tozawa up top now, but jumps over Gulak and hits the spin kick. Tozawa back up top, and the big senton puts Gulak away. Akira Tozawa defeated Drew Gulak @ 6:43 via pin [**¾] Pretty good match overall, grieving Tozawa a win and some momentum back after losing out to Neville.

– Enzo is interviewed backstage. He’s 3-0 in cruiserweight action, and says he has the gift of gab. He hasn’t traveled the world or worked the indies, but they are all in the same place, he works smarter and not harder. He calls Metalik “Nacho Libre.” Neville arrives and says Enzo is as ridiculous as he looks. 205 Live is a place for serious athletes, and that isn’t Enzo. Neville says he has no business being here. Enzo says he will win the title at No Mercy.

#1 Contender’s Match: Enzo Amore vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Cedric Alexander vs. Gran Metalik vs. Tony Nese: This is elimination rules. Enzo bails to the floor as they all looked to kick his ass. Alexander and Metalik work together early, and then lock up and work back and forth. Fun stuff from these two, Alexander counters out of a RANA, but Metalik hits a missile dropkick. Nese pulls Metalik to the floor, and Enzo pulls Kendrick to the floor. Nese and Alexander work back and forth, trading strikes. Alexander hits a dropkick and covers for 2. Enzo walks around on the floor as Alexander works over Nese with chops. We see Neville watching on from backstage. Nese cuts off Alexander and hits a gut buster, sending him to the floor. Enzo sneaks in and rolls up Nese for 2. Kendrick attacks Enzo, rolling him back in and Nese covers for 2. Nese works him over as the others braw on the floor. Kendrick in and he starts to help Nese beat down Enzo, looking for pins. Nese and Kendrick double team Enzo, but Enzo mounts a comeback. He lays the boots to Nese, and then gets sent to the floor. Metalik and Alexander back in, Alexander hits the Spanish fly and we get a double down. Everyone is down. Alexander heads to the ropes; climbs up top and Nese cuts him off. Kendrick over as well as Metalik. TOWER OF DOOM! Everyone rolls to the floor, Enzo looks for a suicide dive but is caught. Nese and Kendrick work him over with double teams and then toss him over the commentary table into the barricade. Kendrick tricks Nese into working with him, and then attacks him. Metalik hits a big dive onto Kendrick, but Nese takes him out. He rolls him back in, but Alexander hits the lumbar check to eliminate Nese @ 11:45. Alexander then pulls Metalik center ring and covers for 2. Kendrick back in but Alexander hits the back handspring kick. LUMBAR check on Metalik and he’s gone @ 12:59. Kendrick back in, hits Alexander with sliced bread for a good near fall. Kendrick locks in the captain’s hook, Alexander fights and escapes. Kendrick locks in the captain’s hook again, but Alexander fights and makes the ropes. They roll to the floor, Alexander slams Kendrick to the apron, LUMBAR CHECK and Kendrick is gone. Of course, Enzo sneaks in and rolls up Alexander with the tights and steals the win. Enzo Amore defeated Brian Kendrick, Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, and Tony Nese @ 14:53 via pin [***½] I hate the layout of a multi-man match when it comes down to one guy doing nothing and sneaking out the win. But with that being said, as a whole, the match was really good and Cedric Alexander was the star of the match. But Enzo’s the new toy and got the win, so Cedric will have to wait for his shot.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

This show was all about the main event, which was a very good match. If crunched for time, skip the rest, and just watch the main event. Overall it was a solid show, but the opener was not good at all.
