– You can watch WWE Main Event on Hulu.

Brian Kendrick vs. Gran Metallik: Kendrick attacks with knees and strikes to begin. Metalik picks up the pace, hits an arm drag and dropkick, sending Kendrick to the floor. Metalik follows with a suicide dive, and then rolls Kendrick back in. The springboard splash follows for 2. Kendrick takes a powder, Metalik follows and Kendrick attacks, slamming him to the apron. Back in they go and Kendrick covers for 2. Kendrick now lays the boots to Metalik, the suplex follows and Kendrick covers for 2. Kendrick now grounds the action, but Metalik fights to his feet and gets a sunset flip for 2. Metalik follows with an enziguri, and heads up top. Kendrick cuts him off, crotching him and he follows him up and looks for a superplex. Metalik fights him off, and hits the ropewalk elbow drop for 2 on a great near fall. Kendrick now hits a powerbomb and stacks Metalik up for 2. Metalik fights off sliced bread, escapes the captain’s hook and hits the Metalik driver for the win. Gran Metalik defeated Brian Kendrick @ 5:45 via pin [***] This was a short, but good and energetic match with an interested crowd. They made the absolute most of the time given to them and I really enjoyed this.

– Back to Raw for Stephanie & Triple H celebrating.. JIP as Kurt Angle arrives, uninvited. Stephanie and the Hs aren’t happy. Angle tells Triple H if he attacks him again, he can shove the job up his ass, because he will come for him. Jason Jordan arrives and wants to face Triple H tonight. Stephanie says Angle can’t make the match, Jordan asks if Triple H is a coward. Stephanie tells Jordan that Triple H would kill him, and isn’t afraid of anyone. BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUN arrives. He goes beard to nose with Triple H, and Triple H backs out of the ring. He’s scuuuuuuured. The crowd chants “you’re a coward,” so Stephanie books Jordan vs. Braun. While I hate that we’re basically back to the Authority Era, this worked as a good follow up to Survivor Series angle, and the crowd was really into it. You can read my Raw Review at this link.

– Back to Raw for the women’s angle with Paige returning. JIP as banks & James end up in a double down, Bayley and Fox are on the floor and Paige makes her return. She asks if they missed her, and says she’s sorry to interrupt but has something to say. “I’m baaaaack.” She didn’t come alone, and she heads to the ring but Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville arrive and attack James. They beat down Banks, Paige joins in and they take out Bayley. Fox runs away as Paige and friends clean house and stand tall. Bayley vs. Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox vs. Sasha Banks went to a no contest @ 4:20 [NR] There was really no match here, it was all about Paige & friends here. Paige, Mandy and Sonya add some new players into the mix, and it will be interesting to see how they are used moving forward. Fun note, Paige was a judge on Tough Enough the season Sonja and Mandy were on. We also get footage of Paige, Sonja and Mandy beating down Bliss backstage. You can read my Raw Review at this link.

– Back to SMACKDOWN for the debuts of Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan during the Charlotte vs. Natalya match. The NXT ladies arrive and beat down Natalya, and then attack Charlotte and beat her down to NXT chants. Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan stand tall. I thought for sure we were getting a Carmella cash in there. You can read my Smackdown Review at this link.

Curt Hawkins vs. Apollo Crews: Titus is out with Crews. Hawkins backs off and stalls to begin. Hawkins back in, Crews picks up the pace with some fun counters. The dropkick, slam and senton atomico all connect and Crews covers for 2. Hawkins manages to cut off Crews and dropkick him to the floor. Hawkins follows and slams Crews to the apron and then rolls him back in and connects with mounted punches. The clothesline follows, and then Hawkins lays the boots to Crews. Titus threatens to get involved, as Hawkins begs him to hit him so he can steal a DQ win. Post break as Hawkins hits an enziguri and flatliner, covering for 2. Crews picks up the pace, hits an enziguri and the Apollo bomb finishes Hawkins Apollo Crews defeated Curt Hawkins @ 4:52 via pin [**] According to WWE, this is Hawkins’ 132 loss in a row. This was your weekly, perfectly solid and clean Curt Hawkins match. It’s never bad, but it’s also never anything special.

– We get brief highlights of Lesnar vs. Styles from Survivor Series.

– Back to Raw for Reigns vs. The Miz. JIP as Miz lays the boots to Reigns, hits his corner clothesline and heads up top. But Miz jumps into a superman punch but kicks out at 2. Reigns now looks for the spear, but Sheamus & Cesaro distract Reigns, Miz hits the skull-crushing finale. Ambrose & Rollins arrive and attack the tag champs and take them out. Reigns hits the spear and wins. Roman Reigns defeated Champion The Miz via pin [**½] This was 15-minutes of bland and lethargic work, with a few bright spots before the extras got involved. I had a really hard time getting into this, they did some nice counter stuff before everyone got involved, and continued to build to the tag title rematch, but as a main event, this felt really flat. You can read my Raw Review at this link.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

This week’s episode of WWE Main event was a fine show, with a really fun Metalik vs. Kendrick match and good fallout from Survivor Series, including the debuts of the new women.
