Main Event reviews are back for the millions of people that are dancing in the streets for hot and sexy WWE E-Show action!

– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

– You can watch WWE Main Event on Hulu.

Rhyno w/Heath Slater vs. Curt Hawkins: Rhyno is very orange tonight. Hawkins stalls to begin, and then lays in chops but Rhyno runs him over a few times. He slams Hawkins to the buckles, but Hawkins cuts of Rhyno with a clothesline for 2. He follows with a modified chinlock after slamming Rhyno to he mat face first. Hawkins keeps things grounded, and then sends Rhyno to the floor. They quickly work back into the ring, Rhyno fights off the DDT with a backdrop and then fires up, hits a corner spear and a belly to belly for 2. Hawkins starts fighting back, but runs into the spinebuster and it’s 0-142 as Rhyno wins. Rhyno defeated Curt Hawkins @ 5:05 via pin [**] It’s the same Hawkins match we get every week, he tries, but always loses; Hawkins drops to 0-142, and the streak lives.

– Back to Raw for IC Champion Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro. JIP as after a series of counters, hits the one armed powerbomb for a great near fall. They now trade big time strikes, Cesaro gets a roll up for 2. Cesaro hits uppercuts, lighting reigns up in the corner. Cesaro looks for the neutralizer, Reigns counters and hit the spear for the win. IC Champion Roman Reigns defeated Cesaro via pin [***¾]. This was a very good, bordering on great match from these two. They’ve worked well together in the past so it’s no surprise that this was high quality. It was hard hitting, they kept the crowd, and flat out delivered; great work from both guys here. I’d love for a rematch down the line, where Cesaro takes the title when they are ready for Roman to drop it; they have great chemistry. You can read my Raw Review at this link.

– Back to Raw for BRAUN vs. Kane. JIP as BRAUN now fights back and he chokeslams Kane, but only gets 2. Back to the floor for some brawling, and they work into the crowd. BRAUN then tackles Kane through the barricade and we get a double countout. Braun Strowman vs. Kane went to a double count out [*]. Of all the matches on tonight’s show, this was one of them. They did mean guy power spots, we got a shitty non-finish and Kane will headline a PPV in 2018 as we’re going to get a triple threat, and worst of all, the Kane vs. BRAUN stuff isn’t over yet. You can read my Raw Review at this link.

– Back to Smackdown for highlights of the Riott Squad causing issues in the women’s division & Clash of Champions hype. You can read my Smackdown Review at this link.

Gran Metalik and Akira Tozawa vs. Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick: Metalik, Gallagher and Kendrick have been battling on both 205 Live and Main Event for the past few weeks. Gallagher & Tozawa begin. Gallagher to the corner, and Tozawa quickly attacks with kicks and a standing senton for 1. Metalik in and Kendrick tags in and attacks. Enziguri by Metalik and a high cross and lucha arm drag follows. Metalik follows with a missile dropkick for 2. Kendrick and Metalik to the ropes, but Gallagher distracts Metalik and Kendrick hits an atomic drop off the second rope for a near fall. Post break, Metalik fires back with kicks on Gallagher, hits the Metalik driver but Kendrick with the blind tag and captain’s hook. Tozawa makes the save and stereo dives follow. Back in and Metalik hits a ropewalk elbow drop on Kendrick for the win. Gran Metalik and Akira Tozawa defeated Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick @ 5:07 via pin [**¼] They worked hard, but were again, completely short changed onetime, which is a shame.

– Back to Smackdown for highlights of Styles, Mahal, & The Singhs and the backstage attack on Styles. You can read my Smackdown Review at this link.

– Back to Smackdown for Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. JIP as Nakamura backs off, charges and lays in knee strikes in the corner. He follows with good vibrations, more knees follow and Nakamura covers for 2. Nakamura sets Kevin up top, follows him up but Kevin lays in strikes and knocks Nakamura to the mat and the swanton eats knees. We get a ref bump, and Bryan has to take off his shirt so he can officially take over. Kevin and Nakamura battle back and forth, and Bryan takes over as ref, counting 2. Orton rushes in and takes Sami out. To the floor and Sami posts Orton. Sami distracts Nakamura, Kevin hits the powerbomb for the win. Kevin Owens defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via pin [**½] Bryan & Saxton were completely overbearing as they argued on commentary, really taking away from the match. The match was perfectly solid, but it came across as both guys were stuck in second gear, with no desire to do anything more. They were too heavy handed about Bryan aligning with Sami & Kevin, which I think means that Shane gets taken out at the Clash, Orton turns on Nakamura and Bryan has to count the pin to be “fair” about things. You can read my Smackdown Review at this link.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

This was your usual solid edition of WWE Main Event, nothing must see, but it accomplishes its goal as a weekly recap show.
