– Police are investigating Davey Boy Smith Jr. for the incident in which he threw coffee in the face of Jake Roberts at WrestleCon. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that according to police, Smith is wanted for battery in connection with the incident, which happened on April 7th during the convention.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, Roberts told police that at around 11 AM, he was signing autographs when he was approached by Smith. Roberts said he tried to shake hands with Smith, after which an argument between the two began. Smith then allegedly threw his cup of coffee in Robert’s face.

Smith acknowledged the incident, having claimed that he confronted Roberts about “disparaging comments” the Hall of Famer made about his fatherm Davey Boy Smith. Roberts refused to speak about the situation and Smith said he told Roberts they should “step outside” and settle the situation with a fight. He said at that point, Roberts told Harry to “F*** off” and said, “Jake and his daughter were acting inappropriate and wanted to start a scene.”

Battery in Louisiana is punishable by up to six months in jail and/or a fine of up to $1000 if convicted.
