Details on Why John Cena Was Eliminated So Early From the Survivor Series Main Event
– The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has a report on why John Cena was eliminated surprisingly early from the elimination tag team main event, featuring Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown, at Survivor Series. According to the Observer, the main focus of the match was not John Cena. Instead, the match was trying to push other storylines, and none of them happen to involve John Cena, who is now a part-time performer for the WWE at the moment.
The match’s greater focus was putting over Braun Strowman and the Raw brand’s team. Strowman ended up eliminating Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, and Randy Orton all during the match with his powerslam move. After the match finished with Triple H and Strowman as the sole survivors, Strowman manhandled and threatened Triple H not to pull a stunt like what he did again. Triple H then tried to attack Strowman, who then subsequently beat him down.
