Details On The Various Talent Deals In AEW
After the news that Jade Cargill signed with AEW earlier this week, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has details on the various types of deals that AEW has been offering talent since its inception.
When AEW announces publicly that a talent has signed, such as Jade Cargill this week, the wrestlers are under weekly guarantees. It is believed that newcomers, as a general rule, are paid better than NXT talents but not as well as WWE main roster talents, but it depends on the individual. The wrestlers who are brought in for AEW Dark regularly, like Griff Garrison for example, are usually signed to per-show deals. Ben Carter was an exception to this. Anyone who appears on Dynamite has a deal of some kind. If they were announced as signed, it’s the weekly guarantee. If they haven’t, it’s a per show deal.
