WWE Draft

The latest WWE draft begins tomorrow and some details on the format were revealed in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. According to Dave Meltzer, represenatatives from the USA Network and FOX are set to make the picks for RAW and Smackdown, respectively. The format will be similar to that of the NFL Draft. He added that the wrestlers will legitimately find out which brands they will be on when the picks are announced on Smackdown and Monday’s RAW.

The idea behind the format is to make it as legitimate as possible thanks to the new TV deals. While it had been reported that personalities from the network would appear, WWE has yet to advertise any celebrities. Meltzer has said that WWE does not want authority figures involved on WWE TV at this time, and it’s unknown if WWE plans on bringing them back. He added that all the major decisions on where the wrestlers will go are done, but WWE is keeping it secret.
