As noted, ESPN recently did a story covering the WWE in-ring debut of Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio. The article also addressed Dominik potentially donning gear and a moniker reminiscent of his father later on after he goes through more in-ring training. he idea is that Dominik would perform under the name “Prince Mysterio,” and he’s already had gear and a mask designed for the gimmick.

Rey Mysterio commented on the gimmick for his son, “We actually talked about it. He definitely has to continue with the Mysterio dynasty. It’s in his genes. I think we’re going to incorporate that eventually and create a good story so the fans can understand the rich history behind lucha libre and the masks.”

Dominik added on wanting to wear a mask, “I’ve always wanted to wear a mask mainly because of tradition. It’s important to keep that tradition going. Now with my face being out there, I think it would just have to be introduced a little bit differently so people understand. I definitely want to wear one, but it has to be introduced properly.”

Dominik Mysterio is set to make his debut on Sunday against Seth Rollins at Summerslam 2020. The event will be held at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The event will be broadcast live on the WWE Network.
