UPDATED: Drew McIntyre Pulled From This Weekend’s Live Events Due To Back Issue
August 13, 2022 | Posted by
UPDATE: PWInsider reports that Drew McIntyre likely would have been able to wrestle this weekend, but WWE officials did not want to take any chances. That should give an idea that while he is hurt, WWE is taking care to make sure it doesn’t become serious. He wrestled a match against the Usos last night, teaming with Madcap Moss.
Original: Prowrestling.net and Fightful Select report that Drew McIntyre has been pulled from this weekend’s live events due to some pain in his lower back. McIntyre will likely not need surgery, just rest, and his removal was just a precaution.
At this time, he is still expected to work WWE Clash at the Castle, where he will face Roman Reigns.
