– Eric Bischoff apparently didn’t pay much attention to WWE Network’s Monday Night War series when it was first released a few years back. Bischoff took to Twitter today to slam Bret Hart after a clip was posted by the WWE Network Twitter account in which Bret Hart was shown saying that when he was in WCW, Bischoff said he had blown off the idea of Mike Tyson coming to WCW.

Hart said in the clip, which you can see below, “Word had just come out that Mike Tyson was doing something with Vince [McMahon]. I remember Eric Bischoff telling me, Mike Tyson had called him first. And he kind of blew him off and he said, ‘We don’t need Mike Tyson. And I remember listening to that thinking: Steve Austin and Vince. Oh, and Mike Tyson. These guys are going to kick the hell out of WCW.”

Bischoff, who was tagged in the tweet, replied and said,

Tyson’s involvement in WWE involved his appearance leading up to and at WrestleMania XIV, where he played a role in the rise of the Stone Cold Steve Austin era by counting the pin for Austin against Shawn Michaels. Austin won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and after, Tyson punched Michaels out in the ring.
