As we previously reported, WWE announced that they will be moving the Thunderdome from the Amway Center in Orlando to Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay. The first show at the new venue will be on December 11, a new episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that the December 7th episode of RAW will emanate from the Performance Center, currently home to NXT. This is due to the fact that the last show at the Amway Center will be on December 4, as the company will be forced to leave on the 5th. The Thunderdome takes time to set up and wouldn’t be completely together by the time RAW would air.

The venue will likely hold WWE events until March, if the WWE chooses to stay there. The first date for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays will be March 30 so they’ll need to be gone before then.

It was also noted that according to WWE officials, there are no plans to allow fans inside. It could be technically done safely at reduced capacity, as Tropicana Field is a large baseball stadium that can hold 42,735. The building will also likely be the home of the Royal Rumble.

It was noted that as of now, WWE Still plans to hold Wrestlemania at Raymond James Field on March 28, 2021.
