Finn Balor Would Love To Be Kurt Angle’s Final Opponent
In an interview with The Kris Fade Show, Finn Balor spoke about rumors that he might be Kurt Angle’s final opponent at Wrestlemania, his own hopes to fight Bobby Lashley again and more. Here are highlights:
On wanting to fight Kurt Angle: “Absolutely, yeah. Kurt’s someone I’ve looked up to my whole career. Someone who I’ve built up quite a good relationship actually in recent years and who I’d love to wrestle. But I believe his recent retirement speech may mean that that’s not possible. I wish Kurt all the best in his future.”
On who he’s going to fight next: “I would really like to fight Undertaker at Wrestlemania, but given the fact that I lost the title on Monday, I think I’m gonna attempt to convince Stephanie to get me a rematch against Bobby Lashley for the IC title.”
On what goes through his head during his entrance: “Everything kind of goes through your head before you step out and then once you step out you’re finally free. All the tension, the anxiety, the nerves, they all leave you as soon as you go out. You walk through that curtain and you feel the energy of the people, everything leaves me. I’m just finally free and at peace. It’s kind of the moments leading up to that where like you’re second guessing, questioning everything, making sure you’ve got all your preparation done, but once you’re out there it’s pure energy.”
