ORIGINAL: WWE has announced the crowning of the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion following this weekend’s TV tapings. The company announced that Rhea Ripley won the title in the finals of the two-day tournament, becoming the first person to hold the newly-minted championship.

The other participants in the tournament were Toni Storm, Jinny, Isla Dawn, Millie McKenzie, Nina Samuels, Dakota Kai and Xia Brookside. You can see the spoilers from day two of the NXT UK tapings here. The NXT UK Women’s Championship is advertised as being defended at WWE Evolution along the other women’s championships in the companmy. That show takes place on October 28th from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, and streams live on WWE Network.
