FOX & USA Officials Know ‘Key Guys’ Being Moved for WWE Draft, Plans to Move Up NXT Stars
– During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed some backstage rumors for the upcoming 2021 edition of the WWE Draft. According to Meltzer, officials at FOX and the USA Network already know the “key guys” who will be moving during the upcoming draft.
Meltzer stated, “The key guys are decided. Nothing else is decided. Everything can change.” He added that multiple people are supposed to be drafted from WWE NXT to both Raw and SmackDown in order to “freshen up both brands.” Meltzer continued that the source who informed him of the plans for NXT talents being drafted also said, “This can also change completely tomorrow.”
As previously reported, the Royal Farms Arena website and local ads in Baltimore are promoting Roman Reigns defending the Universal title against Drew McIntyre on this Friday’s SmackDown. At the end of last night’s Raw, Drew McIntyre appeared to challenge Big E for the WWE Championship. Later on Raw Talk, McIntyre said if he gets drafted for Raw, he will go after Roman Reigns and the Universal title.
The WWE Draft starts this Friday, October 1 on SmackDown and will continue on Monday, October 4 on Raw.
