Gable Steveson took a massive upset loss in the the finals of the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships on Saturday. As Bleacher Report notes, Steveson was defeated by Oklahoma State’s Wyatt Hendrickson in the finals of the Championships with Hendrickson scoring a late takedown for a 5-4 victory.
The loss snaps a 70-match win streak for the former WWE star, who initially left collegiate wrestling to go to WWE in 2022 but returned after his exit from the company and a short tryout stint for the Buffalo Bills. Hendrickson avenged a 2021 loss to Steveson with the win and ended Steveson’s quest for a third national championship.
