Grayson Waller on Wanting to Show That He Runs WWE 205 Live
– Speaking to the Overnight Crowd, WWE talent Grayson Waller discussed the stigma to being on WWE 205 Live but his belief on showing what he can do and offering anyone to come and test him on 205 Live. Grayson Waller stated the following (via Fightful):
“I know there is a certain stigma around 205 just because it doesn’t have the same eyes on it that NXT or Raw or SmackDown has, but for anyone watching those shows, you’re seeing the next guys up because they are on those shows. All the guys who will start taking over NXT, Raw, and SmackDown, a lot of them start in 205 Live and show what they can do. I was at the PC for three months and then I was on TV, which is super rare. Having the opportunity to jump on 205, a brand I’ve seen so much, and having Nigel McGuinness commentating my matches is a super cool thing being a huge Nigel McGuinness fan and getting to wrestle every single week against a huge array and variety of talent. I’ve wrestled Odyssey Jones, a giant heavyweight, Andre Chase, a technical master [Ikemen] Jiro, who does a bit of everything. It’s a lot of fun getting to wrestle so many different types of styles and characters and show what I can do as well. Not everyone can get on NXT. There are a lot of performers and only so much time. getting to show out on 205 Live in front of that crowd, I love it. At the moment, there are a lot of new guys and, in my head, I’m like, ‘I run 205 Live.’ There is no one on that brand who is going to show out better than me. If they want to, they can come test me and they’ll find out real quick that’s not how it works. That’s my house.”
